And is limiting polling places and hours and making it illegal to provide water to registered voters standing in line also just to protect fair elections? And exactly how much fraud was discovered during all of the frivolous lawsuits that “The Kraken” who made them now says no reasonable person would have taken seriously? And how did “stop the steal” go?

Good memory, I did say that as a hypothetical based on the complete inadequacy that the lockdowns have proven to be. It was not a wish for an additional 500,000 dead but an example of trade-offs between lockdown and no lockdown. I think it’s pretty obvious that lockdowns did nothing when you compare the results in actual death rates. Florida’s isn’t much different than Cali’s, for example. Even the NYT has said Florida maybe a success.
But, more importantly, is what effect lockdowns and the government power grab that give rise to them. We now know government, by unelected decision makers can destroy a society. They can govern every action of their subjects and take their lives, their careers, their wealth away in a second. Children will be handicapped for a generation by lacking a year’s education. Businesses have been destroyed. Why is that acceptable when there’s little proof lockdowns had much effect, when the eventual outcome isn’t the Black Plague but a fly season. Read the whole article, especially this
That means that the country had the 23rd lowest annual excess deaths out of 30 European countries -- lower than the U.K. (15.1%), France (10.4%) and Spain (18.9%). Sweden also has a lower number of coronavirus deaths per million than those countries, all of which have gone under strict lockdowns during the pandemic. Pointing to the recent excess mortality studies, Nils Karlson, an economist and political scientist who jointly wrote an op-ed last year in Foreign Affairs entitled “Sweden’s Coronavirus Strategy Will Soon Be the World’s,” is more optimistic.

Dude. What graph? The AZ one taking another big skyrocketing trend greater than California? That one? What about the graphs where CA was pretty flat most of the year while Florida, Texas, AZ were going up? Where are those graphs. How’s the positivity rate looking lately? How’s the new cases trending right now? Idk FL looks like it’s trending up man. Tx looks to have flattened too, still higher than CA

Will allow you to compare states for cases/deaths. Wish I was better with APC; someone who is can post the graphs that show flat for cases per 100K (both going down) and CA going UP in deaths per 100K while AZ is going down.

What should have happened from the start was for people to live their lives. Those in high risk categories should have taken responsibility for themselves and used whatever precautions they felt were necessary up to and including shutting their lives, businesses and social contact down. It wasn't and shouldn't be the rest of society's responsibility to take precautions for everyone who was high risk. The rest of us should have done life normally. If we got sick, great!!!! Get over it and you move on ('cuz make no mistake - that's what happened with most everyone who got it). This BS would have been a small bump in the road instead of the sh!t show the hand wringers turned it into.

This is the kind of garbage you post that kills me. There is no way you can believe your nonsense. This link;

This link should show the clean comparison between FL, CA, and AZ in deaths per 100K. Cases don't particularly matter as any positive test is counted. Hospitalizations and deaths per capita are the important measures

What makes you fundamentally wrong is that you you don’t care about the virus, all you care about is ideology. You just confirmed you’d rather have millions dead so that you’re not forced to wear a mask and lock down. Further you are claiming it wasn’t so bad and we could have just stayed open when in reality it’s the sacrifice of so many that did the right things that made it seem like it wasn’t so bad. It’s so incredibly out of touch with reality. All the leading experts not just here but around the world along with the majority of countries have went into lockdowns as well as health mandates. Your experiment would have destroyed the country. Literally. You can not have a functioning society in a free for all pandemic. Nobody in their right mind who is 18 to 65 would go along with your plan of getting them infected so that Timothy doesn’t have to suffer another online class. Don’t you guys ever wonder why there’s only 6 of you here spouting the same thing while the rest of humanity around the world wore masks, social distanced, followed what was required and tried to put an end to this? I love how some guy gets on here because he can’t take the BS anymore and he gets accused of being a fake profile, the delusion is actually not that surprising.
