I probably don't vote like you. But not every Democrat voter is hard left, just like not ever Conservative voter is hard right. I am admittedly center left and I get along just fine with my friends and neighbors - even if we ribbed each other about the election a bit.

We've got to get past this dilemma where social media is forcing us all to retreat to our own little echo chambers and fight one another over every little thing. We are all Americans. There are a few areas we differ on how we think the country should be run, but at the end of the day that's how the Republic was designed. Each side keeps the other in check.

I've got friends who voted for every candidate and who disagree with me on masks, gay marriage, guns, the environment, health care, and taxes... but they're still my friends. I'd never talk about them with the venom being displayed here for every supporter of one party or another.

Go have a cold one with your buddy who rides the bike. I'm betting you have more in common than that which divides you.

It's just a pale blue dot after all.

It’s definitely social media and the opinion hours of mainstream media that plays a big role in dividing everyone. Everyone online has a voice now, as if they matter. They just regurgitate talking points from the talking heads on the screen. Probably best thing to do is stop with the opinion hours and cancel that propaganda website and instead try to find common ground.
