Public health officials in several states have literally said they’re counting it as a covid death as long as they test positive. Including suicides and car accidents. That’s not a conspiracy. It’s straight from their mouths. Not mine. Flu and pneumonia deaths are at almost 0. ABC news reported a few months ago Covid had surpassed heart disease as the leading cause of death in 2020. Even though heart disease kills on average 600,000 per year. And this was when covid was around 300k. Bigfoot and Santa Claus are more likely to be real than for the 515,000 covid deaths to be legit. Maybe we should keep locking down. It looks like lockdowns completely get rid of flu, pneumonia, and heart disease. It just misses the mark with covid.
Regardless of what your opinion is, the vaccine is here, all that’s required is to get everyone on it. Those kids that you care so much about but not the 500K dead, they can go back to school as quickly as we can develop the immunity. Why are you still talking about opening it up and to let the virus do it’s thing? I can understand if right now we had no answers to this and no vaccines and at a certain point you may say who cares anymore. But that’s not the case so why are you trying to undermine the efforts? Do you even care about the reality of the situation or you just want to win an internet forum argument?

Well I’ll give you props for finally providing data on the one study.

The problem is they admit they’re not randomized. There was a lot to read and admittedly I skimmed through so if you could point it out id be happy to admit I’m wrong. But from what I read, I didn’t see anywhere where they compared a group in a specific setting wearing masks to another group in the same setting wearing masks and what the difference was.

On the other hand, there was a study in Denmark where they did just that and they found there was little to no benefit wearing masks. It was for a strain of Covid, but not Covid-19 but the results should be similar.

Also, I don’t believe locking yourself indoors doesn’t make a difference. Obviously if you never have any kind of human interaction then you’re probably not going to catch Covid. But when you still need to buy groceries or go to Lowe’s to get something for your house.... there is no difference in the states with the hardcore lockdowns and the states that were more relaxed.

You actually don't have to do any of those things. The couple across the street from me are high risk and afraid of the virus. They have everything delivered to them. Have it dropped in their garage and then get it after the delivery person has left. They literally haven't left the house since this started. I have only seen their children visit once. I have run to the store for them as well when they have asked. We all make choices based on our comfort level. I don't judge either way as long as they don't attempt to force their fears on me.

Despite their risk group (he has heart disease and a past stroke, and she has had lung cancer) they will not get covid because they will not interact with anyone else at all. I would be so depressed in their situation but they seem ok. My wife calls and speaks with the wife pretty often to try to make sure they are ok. Sometimes we don't see them for days. On the opposite end of the spectrum my father has also had a stroke and heart disease but he refuses to change his life in any way. He is still here too. His second dose is in nine days.

We all have to make our choices.

Again, public health officials have publicly stated that they count it as a covid death no matter what as long as the person tests positive. Including suicides and car accidents. Flu and pneumonia deaths are almost zero. ABC news claimed a few months ago that Covid had killed more than heart disease even though heart disease kills 600,000 yearly on average. So how on earth can you believe 500,000 covid deaths are legit with all that information? Did flu, pneumonia, and heart disease just decide not to come out for 2020?

Also again, the director of the CDC stated in September that flu kills children 5-10 times more than Covid. So given that information from our “experts” how do you justify EVER going back to school? Flu will back again once Covid goes away. I didn’t mention it before but he also stated excess suicides in school aged children is MORE than the number of covid deaths in the same age group. So if you support closing schools now... if you ever try to get kids to go back to school after Covid then obviously you don’t care about their safety.

As sad as that is, that makes complete sense. It’s their choice to do that and I respect that. The rest of us can still go to work and enjoy life. If I was high risk I would probably do the same thing they’re doing. But I would feel like a total A hole if I expected schools and the economy to shut down when I can just order things I need for myself either way.

Edit: not saying thats what your neighbors are expecting. Just saying what I would do if I was high risk.

Where are these guys getting ivermectin?! Please tell me you're not eating your dogs Heartworm chewy...

Or are docs actually prescribing it as a prophylactic?

Even if you go by those who have had only 1 vaccine, it’s still 47.98% - a minority of those above 65.
I am directly quoting the man in charge, but you are obviously better and smarter.

Kids can go back to school as soon as we can develop immunity? That’s news to my district that has had in person school 5 days a week since August.

Considering Israel has done a double blind study and have confirmed how effective it is, what’s the problem if it works and is backed by science?
