It is a mind bending, twilight zonish experience that one swath of American society has suddenly crawled out of the woodwork to reject and question the validity and ethics of science and our scientists, and question the scientific community's ability and commitment to policing themselves.

Weird...

Not a problem. I realize what I wrote came off harsh. I should have said “That is not what I mean”.

Correct, science is not about asking questions, it’s about accepting what you are told by your betters as the undeniable truth! /s

I read it. And the point that you were trying to make is that since the pro-mask paper was withdrawn, that means that masks don't work. I get it. It's ironic. But it doesn't prove anything other than your prowess for jumping to the wrong conclusions.

Using logic, reason, and science and with an interest in truth only, I have personally come to the conclusion that this Corona virus is no more infectious or lethal than an average flu. It might even be LESS SO. Using the same factors I have also concluded that masks are totally useless.

I am older. I have already had this virus. I was sick with minor flu symptoms for a few days. I have been wayyyyyy sicker in the past!! I wasn’t concerned before I got it, I wasn’t concerned while I had it and I am not concerned now. I fully expect at some point in the future I will get another cold or flu. Probably multiple times. And I will carry on with my life....as normal.

Wash your hands. THAT WORKS.
I’m curious if RedWhiteandBlue has any mathematical updates. What do you think about the videos coming out of Russia? ICU beds in SD, ND, El Paso, etc? Still just the flu?

On the mathematical analysis you conducted, can you describe what you did with excess mortality numbers? Does your finding of 1/10 of reported deaths hold, even now that the election is over?

Wow, WotFace, you totally called that! You must be like the smartest guy on this forum or something.
Sweden is going into partial lockdown even though everyone on here has been claiming they achieved "herd immunity" months ago. Huh. That's a head scratcher.

- a continual shakeup of cabinet members and agency heads that weren't favorable to him
- casting doubt about the integrity of our election process
- use of nationalist rhetoric
- claims of higher knowledge than generals, scientists and subject matter experts of all sorts
- no attempt to bridge the divide in the country and in fact often stoked it
- stoking violence in his speeches

- coddling current autocrats

Looking at these things one can make of it what they want, but to me those are fascist tendencies. Whether willful or out of a complete ignorance of competent governance is up for debate.
Concocted dossier/Russian collusion (proven all a manufactured lie) to undermine elected President and his agenda

Obama spying on the incoming President

Obama going after a conservative journalist (James Rosen, Fox News)

Obama weaponizing the IRS to go after conservative groups

Obama essentially arming ISIS (why was Ambassador Stevens there that night, to begin with?)

“The police acted stupidly” (green lighting Antifa (think Dallas police massacre))

Coddling of the Muslim Brotherhood

I have a phone and a pen (usurping Republican Congress)

“If you like your doctor” (crafting the message to dupe people into support of the Affordable Care Act)

Separating children from their families at the border (started with Obama)

Fascist tendencies? These are just off the top of my nugget.

You write as if Trump is some kind of unique partisan, when the reality is, so is your guy. You ignore his “transgressions” while throwing around “fascism” in an effort of internet oneupism.

And don’t accuse me of “whataboutism.” I’m merely illustrating the reality of politics. After all, “elections have consequences.”

Interesting observation: Nearly every one of Speed Select's bullet points are cataloging acts against Trump or Trump allies.

All of velosnow's bullet points were about cataloging attacks on the American people or American institutions.

It's a significant distinction. First rule of being in a cult is protecting the cult leader.

I count 10 points listed, 2 deal with Trump. I wouldn’t consider that “nearly every one”.

The ones that deal with Trump are in relation to spying on political opponents, are you positive that Obama only spied on Trump?

Ha! And I bet you lump the 73 million Americans who voted for Trump in the “Trump Allies” category.

“Our guy is clean” (NOT quoting the President-elect here), yours isn’t. You realize you’re a partisan hack, too, right?

You should have been a pundit on the Sunday morning shows rather than have wasted your spinmaster talents working in the airline industry.
