We never had the virus under control. All we ever had was a downward trend for brief moments the last couple of months. Other countries actually had it under control before they opened up, and more importantly they didn’t think it was a hoax.

Anecdotal but.......
my kids and my brother's kids both go to schools with aggressive contact tracing. Very red state with no mask mandates. Schools require and enforce strict, proper wearing of masks, distancing, and hand-washing. Both schools have had multiple quarantines due to positive cases. NONE, I repeat, NONE of the cases were traced to transmission in the school. ALL were traced to outside origins, where they were not necessarily abiding by guidance.
We could have our economy back if people had the self discipline to choose a good mask (no gaiter, no t-shirts), cover their freaking nose (wear the mask properly), and give everyone their distance. That's all it would take.

BTW, you didn't get the memo, masks don't do anything.

For how much faux outrage and play there is for this tired talking point on this forum, you'd think that this was solely responsible for every single of the 250,000 deaths around the country.
Time to put up or shut up. How many actual deaths did the misplacement of COVID positive patients into nursing homes cause? As always, cite your claims with reputable sources. And not your usual go-tos. K, thanks.

This notion that America and particularly the POTUS are doing a uniquely bad job with covid is non sense. Its as if these soverign nations who have positively looked down at Trump since he won in '16 are now taking their marching orders from him. Sure!!
