My bad. Wherever did I lose my priorities...
My post was in response to your comment that "this one is milder than many."

I guess my color coded bold font quote was missed by you

But MY comment was in response to your statement of:

sad situation
Hence my quote:

...every death is a tragedy.
Forgive me for not assuming you meant the effect on airline travel and not the deaths themselves.

Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa

thanks

Not in dispute:

Cases climbing at alarming rate
Deaths also climbing
At 2M deaths (likely) over 12 month period, COVID death rate is 3X that of the flu (assuming 650k a year)
Hospitals nearing capacity in many areas

The last couple hundred years of Western science and general progress is built upon peer-reviewed scientific study. Admittedly, the system isn’t perfect and s#!t still slips through, but if you’re going to make an outlandish claim like “peer review doesn’t matter”, you better have a way to back that up.

Otherwise your just a Troll. Maybe even Internet Research Agency. Speaking of baseless claims.

I don’t think you know what peer review is. Peer review does not test hypothesis, or rerun experiments or studies. It does not see if the results can be duplicated. Peer review does not even verify that the data being used is correct.

BS! He said there was good people on both sides in Charlottesville. Obviously Trump knows that Virginia Nazis are more tolerant than those damn Illinois Nazis.

Here is the full quote that you probably never saw since that would require reading more than just a headline.

"There were very fine people on both sides, & I'm not talking about the Neo-nazis and white supremacists because they should be condemned totally."

Should it have been said differently, absolutely. But intellectual dishonesty used by the media taking snippets of a statement in order to fit their narrative needs to stop.

That was not his quote. What happened to your intellectual honesty?

Who told you that was the full quote?

Here it is from www.whitehouse.gov

THE PRESIDENT: Excuse me, excuse me. They didn’t put themselves — and you had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides. You had people in that group.

Q (Inaudible.)

THE PRESIDENT: Excuse me, excuse me. I saw the same pictures as you did.

You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name...

I've checked it in a few other places too.

It looks like you took a part from a another place in the speech and inserted it after to make it look like it was one statement.

But what I'm really curious about is did you do this yourself to mislead, or were you mislead and by whom?

Why argue over each other's interpretation of what was said? Here is the transcript, discuss.

TRUMP: Excuse me, excuse me. (inaudible) themselves (inaudible) and you have some very bad people in that group. But you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides. You had people in that group -- excuse me, excuse me -- I saw the same pictures as you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name.

(CROSSTALK)

QUESTION: George Washington and Robert E. Lee are not the same (inaudible)…

(CROSSTALK)

TRUMP: George Washington was a slave owner. Was George Washington a slave owner? So, will George Washington now lose his status? Are we going to take down -- excuse me -- are we going to take down -- are we going to take down statues to George Washington?

(CROSSTALK)

TRUMP: How about Thomas Jefferson? What do you think of Thomas Jefferson? You like him?

(CROSSTALK)

TRUMP: OK. Good. Are we going to take down the statue? Because he was a major slave owner. Now, are we going to take down his statue? So you know what? It’s fine. You’re changing history. You’re changing culture. And you had people, and I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally. But you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists. OK? And the press has treated them absolutely unfairly. Now, in the other group also, you had some fine people, but you also had troublemakers and you see them come with the black outfits and with the helmets and with the baseball bats. You’ve got -- you had a lot of bad -- you had a lot of bad people in the other group…
