So I have to find the evidence for you? Seems strange if the search is so simple that you haven’t posted it.

So they self isolated instead of being forced to by the government and their numbers are “terrible”....sounds like that’s an argument that lockdowns don’t work?..

Masks make you less likely to need the condom.
So there are maskdebaters now that think the masks trap the virus? What happens when “trapping” maskdebaters meet “pores too large” maskdebaters? Is it like anti-matter?

Also, as I quote above I’d like to agree that yes masks trap virus’ and bacteria (more than hands or unfettered mouth-breathers). Which is why we should use masks to prevent the spread of this virus.

Elementary schools are closed where I am and about a month ago, the LA County health director said schools won't open until after Election Day. Way to not be partisan about it. Why not just say not until after Halloween?

So while our kids sit like mindless drones on Zoom, can anyone show me evidence/proof that Covid ravages through elementary schools? I have yet to see public data on 6-7 yr olds spreading it to other 6-7 yr olds, or even their teachers for that matter. It just isn't happening.

College level there is rampant spread because 18-22 is a reckless age and those young adults are partying and mixing together like there is no virus so it's spreading. But elementary school children are still young, they can be molded, and they will sit separately and listen to Covid instructions/precautions. Plus, did I mention no evidence of this thing ravaging young kids? [small examples of those under 10 dying, but that is extremely rare]

Did a bit of digging... as far as I, obviously a non-professional, can tell it looks like K-5 isn't too bad in terms of transmittance... As far as K-5 vs 6-12 kids go, I think you're a bit misguided on how kids behave haha. Either way people's biggest fear is obviously the kids getting sick/dying, but the biggest risk IMO is them giving it to adults.

The issue with all the studies on kids giving/getting COVID is that they had to present symptoms in order to be tested and marked in the study. And we already know it affects kids much less and they present symptoms much less often... this indicates to us the studies on kids transmitting the virus COULD be understated. So the real question is does an asymptomatic kid have the viral load to infect their parents and other family members at home...

As far as school closures go I think it needs to be handled on a case by case basis... IDGAF if its K-5 6-8 or 9-12 or whatever, if there is sustained transmission in the school it needs to be put on hold for 2+ weeks before reopening. Listen, as a student myself I hate Zoom as much as the next guy, but if it means saving even one life at a school by shutting it down for 2 weeks in person it's worth it IMO.

Bacteria are larger than virus' and are trapped when you exhale. Mask acne is a thing. Also mask breath and lip and mouth ulcers caused by bacterial infections.

Our children are in a hybrid model with two days per week in person and three virtual. Our schools are seeing almost no cases. My elderly mother in law lives with us and we are careful to make sure the kids wash well and keep their distance from her. She wants the interaction with them and has said many times that she won't trade time with the grandchildren for a few more months. She is 89 with COPD so high risk and we take care to make sure she is distanced from anyone we are not sure is ok including our children if they have any type of cold. One of my sons has very bad allergies so it is nearly impossible to tell with him.

It took 12 weeks before the first child to test positive at the school where my wife works. They isolated the class for 2 weeks and the rest of the school went on as normal. One case in the entire school in 12 weeks!

Yep, and what's the death rate? Tiny. It sucks to isolate the elderly, but its that cohort who is being hit disproportionately hard with mortality. Locking down the middle aged to young is just asinine.
