Comparing the surge in other countries, who have kept cases relatively low, to the ongoing high cases in the US is disingenuous.
Other countries have been successful. Look at South Korea, Japan, Germany, New Zealand, etc. I refuse to believe that we couldn't have been the best in the world at managing this crisis. I think America is the greatest country in the world, and we're perfectly capable of living up to that status. Just because you're willing to settle for mediocrity on the world stage because you like the president doesn't mean the rest of the country is

Covid is real and its global....it's flaring up all over. But its highly survivable save for a few cohorts we should focus on protecting.

No, this has nothing to do with health officials. It’s almost Nov and there’s still talk of what they said back in early April when nobody knew what was going on. They’ve been saying to wear masks every single day since then. Even then they weren’t talking about the efficacy, they were concerned about lack of masks available for first line responders. What this really has to do with is those areas of the country that think being told what to do goes against their freedoms. They, for whatever reason, can’t differentiate between actual tyranny vs wearing a damn mask in a pandemic. Pretty embarrassing the US. Those states that refused to wear masks and acknowledge the pandemic caused the huge surges early summer. It didn’t have to be like that. The other states managed to keep the rates low. NY basically had almost negligible cases until the predicted surge in fall started. Again pretty embarrassing response by the US.

2nd bolded; the main thrust of the tyranny argument is more about the lockdowns, supported by state Supreme court rulings and sheriffs.
3rd bolded; Wow. Just wow. I dont like name calling but either you are a straight up troll, CNN plant, or an idiot. I can't even fathom WTF you just put in print.
Seriously everyone read that 3rd bolded again and let that non sense set in. I think blood will shoot out of your ears.

This is funny to you, Bizniz? A population we all agree *should* have been protected but wasn't?

They made a political decision. And it killed thousands of vulnerable people.
This is easily determined....NO medical or public health professional would make/have made the decision to seed vulnerable populations with infected and contagious cases.
This was completely a political judgement.

Covid has been nothing but media hype. Economies devastated and airline travel the same. Thanks Libs

The guy might have inadvertently stumbled into a career as a stand up comic, as the best comics are the ones who make jokes out of uncomfortable topics.
Notice the "lol" at the end of the posters line? He was trying to put down the other guy with a joke, and the punch line worked. Boo doop bshhhh!!
I said it was funny, but BS. BS, precisely because of his sinister accusation of NY's effort with this pandemic.
Don't be stupid. Lol.
