Because like him or not, the President does not stick his finger up into the wind to determine how he should feel about a particular subject. He is FAR from a politician. That's why they hate him so much.

Now let's talk about something important like voting for the other candidate that isn't a politician.

Vote for Jo Jorgensen.

If he ends up being a 1 term president, then that will definitely be the reason.

You are naive to think he doesn't do things based on the electorate. The problem is POTUS is governing primarily to his base.

He didn't "explicitly" say that at all. Keep reading headlines and not actual articles.

At the end of the day I'm sure there are things trump could've done better. That said, I guarantee his path to "better" would've been easier had the dems gone along with his plan from the get-go.

There's a CNN article too calling the dems statements "misleading" regarding Trump calling covid a hoax.....Lemme know if you want that one.
He absolutely said the virus would disappear. Maybe you should try to inform yourself by actually reading the news instead of cherry-picking articles to protect your fragile worldview.

As far as following Trump's path, what path are you talking about? He showed absolutely zero leadership on this issue and told the states to deal with it themselves despite the fact its a national crisis. He lied to the American people. Is that the plan you're talking about?

Now I expect to hear about how its Pelosi's or Fauci's fault. Trump's motto should be "the buck stops everywhere but here"

In our representative republic, medical policy and treatment responses are formulated at the state and local level. National response involves the travel restrictions that were put in place, mobilization of military assets that was undertaken, invocation of the defense production act that was done, mobilization of government resources to gain access to medical supplies that was done, and daily updates and recommendations that were conducted by his teams. You wouldn't know Dr Fauchi if the president didn't put him on TV every day to inform the public.

With all the accomplishments of his administration, particularly on the foreign policy, and economic fronts, if he were a typical politician, he would probably win 45 states.

About the only thing I like about him is that you absolutely know where he stands, and he kept more campaign promises than the four before him combined.

You clearly said the difference between POTUS and Fauci was one of motive, how do you know either one’s motives?

As for Fauci:
“There’s no reason to be walking around with a mask when you’re in the middle of an outbreak,” Fauci said. “Wearing a mask might make people feel a little bit better and it might even block a droplet, but it’s not providing the perfect protection that people think that it is. And often, there are unintended consequences; people keep fiddling with the mask and they keep touching their face.”

And let’s not forget SG Adams in regards to masks: “They are NOT effective in preventing general public from catching #Coronavirus”

It would seem that they were unaware of the “long established protocol” that you mentioned, or do you think they knew and intentionally misled people by saying they don’t work.

The mental gymnastics and contortions you all go through to defend POTUS despite the overwhelming and unending incompetence, not to mention all the corruption and grift, is a sight to behold.
You mean except for when Biden called Trump's travel restrictions xenophobic, right? Or when Pelosi is all about mask wearing, until she doesn't think there's a camera on her while at a business that is supposed to be closed due to restrictions? (whoops on that one!)

He didn't. And still hasn't.

He did it for purely, selfish political reasons.

One is forgivable

The other isn't.

The buck stops with POTUS.
Jeeze ... let’s cut the big Chief Cheeto some slack.

He said it was a hoax.

Over by Easter.

Everything back to normal by April.

Its just going to go away.

All my Cheeto loving friends say it will disappear on November 4th.

If he said it then it must be true. He is the BEST EVER.

So we got all that going for us ... which is nice.
