From that exact graph. Are we ready to lockdown the country again because of a week of data and a 1.5% uptick? Does a 1.5% uptick over a week explain why the cases are going up or is it the 100% increased testing?(which was my original argument)

Do you know how to READ a graph? Learn how before you accuse someone of trying to distort data, OK?

Cases are trending up hugely and - in the last few days - deaths have started to trend up modestly, but this is nothing like the first wave in April when we were seeing three times the deaths with half the number of cases we have today, indicating either we are detecting more mild/asymptomatic cases, we have better treatment, there is been a decrease in viral virulence, or perhaps a combination of the above.
Quit politicizing it.

You guys say one thing, and then after getting called out you try to change your incorrect interpretation again.

Case positivity, hospitalizations, and deaths are currently increasing. This was predicted by the CDC. It is also predicted to continue increasing, as the US and parts of Europe have people too selfish and stupid to wear a simple mask.

Quit reading Facebook posts and conspiracy blogs for your information. Use science and legitimate news sources.

I am going to be super ****ed off if the US starts locking stuff down again because some of you guys are unable to stop being selfish and ignorant for a few weeks.

Do you truly think the cases are rising simply because some are not wearing masks? I haven’t seen a non-masker in months. I see people complaining about masks, but never anyone flat out not wearing one. Some states that have long had mask mandates are seeing increased cases(California, mass, conn) and some that never really did are also seeing increased cases(Texas).

Im not saying we shouldn’t wear them but at the very least it needs to be acknowledged that the data is simply not there supporting masks being efficacious at all and to say “you selfish people are causing this” is gaslighting.

If anything inside your little red box shows a sharp DECREASE in case positivity until the final week-week and a half. This only furthers my case that the number of cases is due to the 100% increase in testing not necessarily that more people are getting it.

I live in Florida and I can tell you that about half the people I see in public settings aren't wearing masks, cases are increasing here, last week we were holding steady at 2500 cases and the other day we hit 7000 and now were holding steady at 5000 cases.

Politicizing what? It is a GRAPH. Downloaded directly from the worldometers site. If YOU do not understand that - yes, it is showing a substantial increase in cases - that’s YOUR fault, not anyone else’s. And if you don’t understand that it is showing a relatively modest increase in deaths, then that too is on you. Nobody is “saying one thing” and I certainly wasn’t “called out” by you demonstrating your ignorance.

And as time goes by, I am becoming really unconcerned about you being “****ed off” about anything since your repeated demonstration of opinionated ignorance does not cause me to particularly value your opinion one way or another.

For not living in the US, you sure seem to have a handle on how people in the US are behaving. While you're dispensing wisdom, could you explain why the state with the strictest mandates has had over 900,000 cases?

Meanwhile, France had about half as many cases (42,000) yesterday as the US (85,000). With 1/5th the population.....

Bwahaha....

JFC, you're to fuggin lazy to look back and see that my quote of what you posted was verbatim and not altered?

And, then you've got to go on about how your false claim is really true if you look at it through your twisted logic.

WTF?

1. The positivity rate is climbing. (again)
2. The positivity rate has doubled since its low point in the beginning of October.
3. More people are being infected, period.

Your "increase in testing equals an increase in cases" talking point is getting old. Go find another hill to defend, you've lost this one.
