Statistically speaking at 550,000 deaths we should all know someone who has been killed by COVID. Of course that's not going to be equally distributed, because America. But you all want to keep your heads firmly buried in the ground. That's fine. Just don't say you weren't warned.

Compared with individuals ages 54 years or younger, the incident rate ratio (IRR) was 8.1, indicating that the mortality rate of COVID-19 was 8.1 times higher (95%CI = 7.7, 8.5) among those 55 to 64 years, and more than 62 times higher (IRR = 62.1; 95%CI = 59.7, 64.7) among those ages 65 or older. Mortality rates from COVID-19 were 77% higher in men than in women (IRR = 1.77, 95%CI = 1.74, 1.79).Conclusions

You really need to grow up and stop being a utopian idealist and join the real world where people die, people get good and bad deals and deserving doesn’t mean a thing.. I’ve great friends and people to suicide, to plane and car crashes, to horrible diseases like AIDS, cancer, heart attacks, Parkinson’s. That’s life.

This is true with COVID. Your actions have a direct impact on whether or not COVID spreads. This is not an act of nature like a hurricane. This is being spread by US.
I assume you and maybe Excargodog are probably older, maybe your parents aren't still alive. I could see how that would affect your approach to COVID. You'd have less at stake. Or maybe you don't care. But when I see COVID spike due to sheer negligence, I immediately fear for families, including my own. So much preventable death. And when people like you actively fight against stopping it, I can't help but think how selfish you are.

When you are dealing with millions of people, the one in a million probability will bite you in the butt from time to time. But posting these pictures does not make the statistics go away. This is OVERWHELMINGLY a disease of the aged.

Abstract
Determine age-specific infection fatality rates for COVID-19 to inform public health policies and communications that help protect vulnerable age groups. Studies of COVID-19 prevalence were collected by conducting an online search of published articles, preprints, and government reports that were publicly disseminated prior to 18 September 2020. The systematic review encompassed 113 studies, of which 27 studies (covering 34 geographical locations) satisfied the inclusion criteria and were included in the meta-analysis. Age-specific IFRs were computed using the prevalence data in conjunction with reported fatalities 4 weeks after the midpoint date of the study, reflecting typical lags in fatalities and reporting. Meta-regression procedures in Stata were used to analyze the infection fatality rate (IFR) by age. Our analysis finds a exponential relationship between age and IFR for COVID-19. The estimated age-specific IFR is very low for children and younger adults (e.g., 0.002% at age 10 and 0.01% at age 25) but increases progressively to 0.4% at age 55, 1.4% at age 65, 4.6% at age 75, and 15% at age 85. Moreover, our results indicate that about 90% of the variation in population IFR across geographical locations reflects differences in the age composition of the population and the extent to which relatively vulnerable age groups were exposed to the virus.

There are still tens of thousands of COVID fatalities under 65. You hide behind your numbers to dismiss the humanity cost. For what purpose? So you can feel vindicated for being a selfish prick?
