Think of it this way, WutFace, fewer people ruining the environment with carbon emissions, eating meat, and having more children. I’ll bet your pretty excited about the climate also.

I'm not looking at the broader implications of deaths, if that's what you're inferring. Pretty morose of you to insinuate that.

If anything, I'm discouraged about our response to COVID with regards to climate change. It will mean when sh*t really starts getting bad with environmental effects, America will be just as divided and will f*ck up the response. It'll be catastrophic.

All empires must end, I suppose. Our monument will be on the hilltop of arrogance and stupidity.

That's a bold take. We're less than 3 weeks away from 180k.

Looking forward to your heartfelt admission that you misjudged the severity of this pandemic... oh wait, this is Airline Pilot Central.

I'll see your quote and raise you...

"We think we have it very well under control. We have very little problem in this country at this moment — five — and those people are all recuperating successfully. But we're working very closely with China and other countries, and we think it's going to have a very good ending for us … that I can assure you,"

That's true, he did say that as he was working with the known understanding of the virus at the time. Meanwhile, deBlasio was inviting people in NYC to go to restaurants and Broadway as the virus was silently sweeping through the population there in what would become, by far, to be the most ravaged state in the country in deaths.

I disagree. You are making the same mistake these ersatz professionals are making. They seem to wait until the slope of the growth function is at its apex, then extrapolate that growth rate to an arbitrary point in the future (idiots do that with the stock market as well). The salient point about virus transmission is the faster it spreads the faster it burns out.
