Sort of reminds me about the football commentators comments about the kicker not having missed a field goal from between the 35 and 40 yard lines while two seagulls flew counterclockwise around the flagpole since three years and two months previously.
Even assuming it’s true - and I have no reason to doubt it - I’m not sure what to make of it...
on a brighter note, Hawaii is contemplating opening up in about two weeks...maybe.

That’s pretty funny actually. I guess I did make it way more complicated than it needed to be. A better way to say it - it’s was our best regular Wednesday yet.
It tells us we are still trending up, albeit very very slowly. Better then dropping or even leveling off. Post Labor Day continues to exceed my expectations.
Hawaii could be another key piece, especially as the weather turns colder.

Which he’s already done a couple of times. But yeah, the economic toll this has taken on the island is forcing people to look at higher risk options. It’s happening in Europe too.

Not bad numbers considering Hurricane Sally was beating up on Florida and much of the west coast was devoid of breathabke air due to the smoke from the fires. Of course I suppose those numbers could have been generated by west coasters leaving for somewhere WITH breathable air and Floridians leaving before Hurricane Teddy gets there...

Great number. A top 3 Thursday of the recovery, only topped by the Thursday before the 4th of July and the Thursday before Labor Day. When random Sept days top random July and August days, the trend is right where it should be.
btw, Thursday was the 17th.

On the testing front, they haven't even ironed out all the plan details 3 months after the program was conceived... I guess to be a health expert or gov't leader in HI you really don't have to have a clue to get a job.
Here's to hoping a family of 4 is willing to pay an extra $600 to get an intrusive test, pay for hotels, car rentals, airfare and then hope they don't come back positive from a test that isn't close to 100% accurate. Oh, on top of that there is literally nothing open for tourists to do. And if they do still decide to vacation here, they can run the gauntlet of local "anti-tourist" protestors and local tourist haters out on the town.
This should go well
