Serious adverse reactions actually caused by the vaccine are pretty unlikely at this point, it probably would have been flagged by now. If you look at 100,000+ people there are going to be some medical issues. Probably a motorcycle fatality or two as well, doubtless caused by the vaccine.
The important thing is that with all the money spent on research and all the lofty expectations and financial repercussion and reputations at stake, and with the idea that risk of complications from a dodgy vaccine will only be realized well down the road and after lots of these execs retire anyway, the pharma companies aren't feeling any pressure to move forward with something dodgy just so they can get to market and get paid.

Vaccine complications are very well known to occur mostly soon after vaccination. The more time passes, the less likely it becomes that anything will pop up. No need to make up fictitious science.

But it's irrelevant to you and me, we'll be getting it so we can work outside the lower 48. Unless maybe you do only EAS for Great Lakes... oh, whelp.

UK clarifies Pfizer vaccine restriction, applies only to those with a history of anaphylaxis, does not apply to people who have allergies.

Most of us that are leery of the fast tracked COVID Vaccine are not anti-vaxxers as you claim. I have plenty of vaccinations and recently updated and added to my vaccine arsenal since I now fly the 777 world wide. The vaccinations were for horrific debilitating diseases not something that has a 98 to 99 % survival rate without lasting complications for 99%. The virus is so bad that the only way most people know they have it is they test positive but are not sick. Say what you want but the complications ie bell palsy etc are real. Yes; as you say many companies could limit travel, attendance etc based upon having the vaccine but the flip side is possible also fed up people could open the doors to the unvaccinated as well. In the end all your effort to shame people who are justifiably leery of the COVID Vaccine as anti vaxxers, self centered etc is comical. If the vaccine over time proves effective, lasting and safe I would probably take it as most would. You would literally run out of paper trying to document times medicines were presented to be safe and were far from it, I am not anti medicine “far from it” but reality is reality.

Then I guess I'm good since I had an adult-onset food allergy that resulted in anaphylaxis.

Which is fine for you worryworts since I have already been exposed to a documented case in the same household and yet didn't contract this dreaded plague...

I look at it like this…If I’m offered the vaccine, decline and then get somebody sick – particularly someone elderly - I’m going to be totally disgusted with myself.

OTOH, if I take the shot and, despite massively overwhelming odds, I do get some kind of to date unknown side effect…I’m ok with that. Like correctly playing a high percentage poker hand but still losing.

I have no problem with that if it’s your choice, you could get someone who is compromised sick with the flu also really no difference. Most people survive COVID my 88 year old parents and sister just got over COVID and are fine. Like I said if it proves to be safe, lasting and effective I probably get it at a later date.

My concern is I’ll feel fine but unknowingly (asymptomatic..unlike the flu) give it to my folks or some other vulnerable person. I'm not a fan of mandatory.

Glad your folks are ok!
