The fact that you can't answer how many deaths are acceptable is your dirty little secret. Because, in essence, that's what you're advocating. So, be honest. Put a number on it. How many deaths per day in America are acceptable to you to keep the country going?
In spite of rising case numbers, exponentially in some areas, you still are in favor of limited to no restrictions. This macho crap where everyone needs to suck it up and take one for the team.
There's one glaring problem with your plan, though. Most Americans aren't as dumb as that. Even Trump couldn't get Oklahomans to go to his rally. So they definitely won't buy your airline tickets. And there's just enough stupidity to keep the virus going. So we're in a really bad spot where the virus keeps spreading because of idiots, and we can't open up fully because of the cautious. Pandemic Limbo.

Texas on Tuesday reportedanother daily record — more than 5,000 new infections — prompting renewed warnings from Gov. Greg Abbott, who urged residents to stay home in an interview with the television station KBTX.
“Because the spread is so rampant right now, there is never a reason for you to have to leave your home unless you do need to go out,” he said. “The safest place for you is at your home.”
The governor, a Republican who has resisted the idea of another lockdown, said that he was trying to get Texans to grasp the magnitude of the outbreak, which has rapidly worsened in the state in recent weeks.

That's a good case for national guidelines for rolling restrictions in areas that have spiking cases. But that requires cooperation and not politicians who are trying to stoke a culture war.
Here's today's hotspot map.
Lockdown county by county? Prohibit travel? Quarantines?
Tell me, genius, how do we enforce protections to keep healthy areas healthy, and infected areas isolated?

The rest of us otherwise healthy people are at an astronomically low risk of hospitalization or death. The holistic nature in which the Covid response has occurred is truly bizarre, and in my opinion will go down as one of the most head scratching periods of American History.

A rising number in cases doesn't mean anything to me. That's been predicted since the beginning. Let me know when we get the exponential growth in number of deaths that we've been promised since March, and you'll have my attention.

You didn't ask me sh*t. You threw a loaded question at someone else. And I decided to humble you.

So hand-waving and saying only the sick, old, and obese are getting severe cases is discounting the danger of this disease.

You guys keep saying that, but the evidence doesn't back that up. The health ramifications for the healthy is yet to be determined. Plenty of people who have no comorbidities are experiencing major issues. They have a better chance of surviving, but it's not an easy fight.
