Percent of occupancy diagnosed with COVID in Texas hospitals.

The amount of tests in the US conducted has gone from 100,000 per day about a month ago to approximately 500,000 per day now.

There’s just one or two charts you’re omitting there Pete. But let’s just revisit those ones in two and four weeks from now.

either way...small steps, ramp up testing, contact tracing, mandate business reduce occupancy and require masks to be worn, etc. right?

For a virus with an infection fatality rate of 0.26% (likely less)?

No.

Can you find the surge? Revisiting the ICU numbers and COVID deaths 4 weeks from now will tell the tale, I agree.

In which case I’d say respectfully to you that you’re the problem. Because every infectious disease expert disagrees with you.

could you show your math for the 0.26% ?

You can do it yourself using the most recent CDC estimates. Why trust my math?

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019...scenarios.html

And saying every infectious disease expert disagrees with me is deceptive and inaccurate. John Ioannidis and Matteo Bassetti are two examples.

You seem confident in your beliefs. At the end of July how many people will be dying in the US from COVID daily? The current 7-day average is ~600 deaths.

I'll predict towards the end of July the US will have about the same amount of deaths per day or less. What do you think?

I still don’t see how it can be 0.26% when 0.36% of the population has already died from it.

as for predictions...I’m not in the crystal ball business. I’m in the follow the leader so we can have a civil society

your the guy on the plane that complains, whenever there is a delayed flight, that the pilots are idiots who don’t know what’s goin on. Those planes fly themselves he bellows from the cheap seats. Experts hurrph.

0.039% of the US population has died from COVID-19 to date. When my Captain makes a math error by a factor of 10, you are correct...I am that guy in the back of the plane thinking the pilots are idiots. You better believe it. I will get off the plane quicker than you can say “The Boy Who Cried Wolf”.

Ha I was going to point this out as well, but your response was way better.
