Zoom sucks and is a poor replacement for face-to-face business travel.
"They may call me a dreamer" but I do not see it as a wholesale replacement for a significant majority of reasons people travel for business. Not all meetings are a PowerPoint presentation and there's a powerful interpersonal connection between a client and a business owner/leader/representative meeting face-to-face.
UPS is using Zoom because we're still taking delivery of more than a dozen growth airframes this year and NEED to keep hiring to staff those jets and cover retirements running 2-3x mandatory...not because they *want* to utilize videoconferencing to interview pilots. There's a reason the company has maintained a face-to-face interview with sim evaluation all this time and I suspect HR will ditch Zoom just as soon as possible.
Death knells for business travel are being rung FAR too early here...

A few organizations (whose managers are more visionary than grounded in human-nature reality) might give it whirl, but eventually market forces will re-calibrate those.

These numbers very promising. It’s well within reason to think we could hit a million by the end of July.
