So I imagine we’ll limp through June with steady and incremental increases, then see how July goes.
Disney is going to be a HUGE traffic driver.

I’ve had a reservation to stay at an Epcot resort in June for my recurrent training for months (I’m a sucker for the tequila bar at Epcot).

6 hours after they announced the date, I waited an hour for the WEBSITE to load so I could cancel my reservation. That only happens on super high demand days and when they offer crazy offers.

Lucrative might be a stretch.

I have had ocean crossing same day tickets for less than $300 when on DoD orders.

All the government employees I know have to submit a justification for why something can't be accomplished by teleconferenceing or other means before approving the travel.

That's nothing new as far as the Navy reserve goes.

Roger that. What I'm hearing is they're now really looking hard at the justification post COVID. At least in my little corner of the world.

DOD's ban being "lifted" will not cause a million troops to suddenly fly commercial tomorrow. 1) Govt tickets are not profit makers, I believe every airline is directed per law to "offer" these fares for govt/mil travelers, 2) I believe the ban now allows PCS travel and other travel, such as to/from training. I believe it will still be risk assessed prior to approval.

If you are saying that the airlines are directed to offer tickets to the U.S. government at a loss you are incorrect. For the majority of cases Gov/Mil tickets are more expensive then what the average person can find online. They are more profitable for the airline than your standard ticket, but not as profitable as your average Neiman Marcus business traveler.....obviously (lol, I knew this debate would pop up as soon as I posted my original comment. This board is so predictable).
