Problem is that a lot of parts of this country never saw the effects of the virus at first. Many now are finally starting to see the effects closer to home and are singing a different tune. It’s too late though. This is where the federal gov failed to protect the folks, instead of saying it’s going to be over by Easter, hopefully, it’s going to be beautiful, they should have taken it seriously like other developed countries did. Now the infection rates are off the charts compared to the rest of the world.

You are late to the party, we covered national strategy on this site in the beginning of this pandemic. The left wing nutbags on this site insisted a national response was against states constitutional rights. Maybe you should move to Europe to be safe from the boogey man.
I can’t tell you how many people I saw saying “Trump can’t tell the states what to do!!” Only to turn around and say “Trump had the worst response to COVID”
No one even mentions anymore when Biden and other lefties called Trump racist for banning Chinese nationals from the US.

A large portion of the economic carnage we now experience is due to the most of the country panicking like we were all NYC back in March-April.
Looking forward to seeing the weekend numbers update in a couple hours. Loads didn’t seem too good this weekend, so I’m curious what they’ll look like.

Ding ding ding, we have a winner. We could use some strong national leadership for psychological reasons, but the actual policy responses for something with varying regional effects like this virus are best handled locally.

Pretty straight forward. Business travel is down to nothing. When school starts leisure will tank. It’s a bad bad deal.

Most recent numbers
7-19: 27.4%
7-18: 27% (26.98)
7-17: 26% (25.9)
25-30% seems to be a scud layer we can't climb out of so far.

Pot, meet kettle.
I don't care what your politics are, and I'm sorry you don't like being called out for literally making things up. If you have a source that shows "left wing nutbags" insisted that "a national response was against states constitutional rights," then please educate me. Prove me wrong. If not, then please stop lying, and then clutching your pearls when someone calls you on the BS. Lying isn't a good look
