TSA numbers above 100k seven days in row
6/30
500,054
21.2% YOY
6.1% gain week over week
Again for context last year same day week over week was down 8%. Pretty normal for travel to slump leading up to the big travel days right before the holiday.

My bad if that came off as an attack, that wasn't my intent. I was pointing out that people aren't traveling to Arizona in the middle of summer to go to the pool and bars.

I expect 700K+ today. I checked our scheduled flight at Spirit. We are going from 150-160 daily flight to 514 today, and 500+ for the rest of July. Mostly of the random loads that I check, seems to be 75%-80% capacity. I’m sure other airlines have added flights starting today.

I’m going with 775k today, real close to 1 mil before the week is over. That fluctuating 500-600k was due to the artificial cap. Easily 1.5mil by end of month. And until international’s return full swing, I don’t think we will get much past 1.5mil

JB added over 10 flights from jfk-Dominican today.
All of them are full to the self imposed caps on a random Wednesday.
That’s another 1200 just between those two routes.
A small example but repeated many times over.

No way I’d say 1 billion by end of the month.

Middle Seats
I’m very glad American and United aren’t playing the PR game like Delta and Southwest. The sooner we educate people on HEPA filters and not perpetuating the middle seat lie the better.
Also made me really happy to see Delta’s PR post about blocking seats right after United’s announcement that’s it’s all about PR. Can’t write this stuff.
Hopefully this helps start a trend to that 1 billion per day TSA!
