Can’t wait for real pandemic, like the Plague, 60% of the EU population dead in a few years. This is child’s play. Anyone of European descent has distant relatives who survived it and carried on.

Exactly... This was a slightly above average virus that caught an election year.. It wasn't a hoax, but the US reaction to it wreaks of Dem/Rep bs... The sh!tty media and political posturing made it impossible for the American public to react to it rationally or trust any of what was being presented to us.

The irony is, every expert will readily admit that there are literally millions (or tens of millions) of undetected cases, yet we're going mad over a spike of a few thousand extra confirmed cases a day, all to make a group of governors look a certain way.

I don't understand how anyone can think this. The entire world came to a screeching halt, and you think it's because of the US elections? Maybe there's a reason that most of the nations of the world have reacted in almost the same exact way everywhere?

They are just sheep and bow down to the US media.

The death rate is well under 0.5% for the total population and far less in healthy people. This is even from a left leaning and socialist group and media source.

This will go down in history as the second greatest story ever told.

How many times do you need to see ...

Sherif that participated in mask protest tests positive for Covid-19.
Pastor who held church services dies of Covid-19.
etc etc.

It's a really bad bug. For many. Hope you don't catch it.

No. Ebola is a really bad bug. Marburg virus disease is a really bad bug. Yellow fever is a really bad bug. COVID -19 is going to end up with a case fatality rate of about 0.3. That’s maybe twice as bad as your once in a decade Bad influenza virus.

By the way. This is all your fault...

What part don't you get? How because it is an election year, the entire US reaction to Covid is f^cked up? Other countries did much better controlling the spread.... what is the difference between them and us? Oh yeah, we have an election coming up! You seem misguided? Maybe you take my election comment as a tin foil hat comment? Or maybe you missed the part where I said it wasn't a hoax?

1) Slightly above average virus:
---------Estimated mortality rate slightly higher than a bad Flu season... this is a commonly held notion from most, if not all, medical experts. .1 vs. .26-.6

--------- A overwhelmingly majority of positive cases will have mild to no symptoms. Stated as near fact from nearly every article written and common knowledge. I don't know about everyone else but something that has literally no symptoms for an overwhelming majority of people really sounds likeit's not a huge killer of a majority of people.

--------- Ebola.. now that sh!t is scary... 90% of people who contract it die. And there is no doubt when you contract it. If that sh!t was on the loose I wouldn't be coming out from under my bed. I don't want my insides melting!

2)Election Year: do you concede it is an election year? And will you concede that there is a political divide amongst States, Governors and people about how we should react to Covid?

---------If it wasn't an election year, and if Trump wasn't so polarizing, I'm willing to bet there would have been a more cohesive attempt to control the virus and a lot less finger pointing between States and Governors.

---------CNN vs FOXNews… do I really need to explain this one? That'll just about cover the sh!tty media comment I suppose.

3)Million (and tens of millions) infected and we're freaking out over a thousands of positives.

---------Well, tens of millions have most likely been infected (and don't have any symptoms, oh the horror) Basically every expert will agree that out of the 2.5 million positives, there are most likely 25 million in all actuality... So we have a week where we spike an extra 10-20 thousand KNOWN cases.. ok... what about the other23 million out there, does an extra 20 thousand really make a difference?

Lemme know if you need any more explanation..

Ok you picked two that the CNN was able to find and exploit.... I hope you don't catch it like I hope you don't catch the Flu, a cold, foot and mouth or anything else that sucks to get. For many, getting the Flu or pneumonia is really bad.. say most elderly in nursing homes.. Yes this is a bit more serious, but not lockdown and throw away the key serious. If it were we'd be holed up in our homes, businesses would never open, airplanes would never fly and it would look like the movie OUTBREAK.. which maybe you've watched one too many times?

.
Nobody’s saying lockdown and throw away the key. Hows it working out for the populated states that opened up first with no actual enforced guidelines?
