Contract pilot rates
I posted this in the part 135 section but anyone advice on where to find the information would be appreciated. All salary surveys that I found were a couple years old (NBAA and propilot)
Anyone have any go info on a BE400 SIC contract pilot daily rate or point me in the right direction to find the information. Part 135 current and BE400 SIC type.

Contract pilot rates
If you're hiring a contract pilot you should expect to pay for a PIC if they're typed and current regardless to if they're just an "SIC" on the trip.
In the Midwest typed and current BE400 contract pilots get anywhere from $600-$850/day + expenses. I would assume this range covers most of the US markets for "light jets".

Here is a site that gives some reference. I'm not sure how accurate it is, since the amounts are dependent on how many contract pilots divulge their rates. The actual site says it keeps the rates updated as they receive more information from contract pilots. These rates are for PIC qualified contract pilots, so your family member will have to negotiate and do the best they can.

Thanks for the information. There are some growing pains out there with some of these charter companies that have been used to getting high time pilots and not paying very much for them. The worm has turned and all the major airlines are hiring at rates that have never been seen before and they are not used to seeing such a high turnover rate with pilots.

Agreed, but do you want to fly for someone who would replace YOU for $50? $100? $200? I know I don't. The rates on that page are shameful, at least for the examples of which I'm familiar. This is a PROFESSION. You have to know more than a dentist to bring those nice folks into TEB during rush hour.
Obviously, I'm not trying to tell you anything you don't know...just trying to get out my last rants of 2014!
