Default Is your aircraft "connected" - How so?

Doing some research on cabin connectivity - or cockpit for that matter. Anybody have wifi/live TV/sat phone in the back? If so what are you using? Do you (or the clients) like it? Any problems?

We have a hand held sat phone. It connects into the aircraft that has an external antenna. Its a Citation XL. This is the phone.

Up front we have nothing except our ipads. They connect to a baron mobile unit that is a router to broadcast xm. The passengers also have access to XM radio through it. Foreflight then gets its weather through it. Our ipads connect to the baron mobile using wifi. It only broadcast XM weather and no internet. It works very well with Foreflight.

The sat phone did not work very well until we had an external anntena mounted on the airplane. It would only work when traveling north and south lol.

In the cabin, our corporate aircraft have Immarsat SwiftBroadband, Aircell Iridium for voice (wireless) and GoGoBiz. All data is both wired and wireles In the cockpit, we have VHF and Satcom data for such things D-ATIS, PDC's, Ops, etc. The cockpit also has wi-fi data for the EFB's, mobile phone, etc.

We currently operate the Iridium Satcom Phone and internet(international) and gogobiz for domestic.

Phone- 3 phones hard wired in the cabin and one wired through the comms upfront.

The GoGo text n talk app is amazing. While online with the GoGoBiz router (extremely fast) you can talk and text seamlessly through the app.

We have Iridium Satellite Phones - one each in cockpit and cabin and we have Air Cell setup for wifi. It sort of depends on what airplane you are in - some tend to be a little finicky to connect to but usually all are reliable enough.

1 wired sat phone in the cockpit and 1 in the aft cabin... and 1 wireless in the forward cabin.

wifi is a blistering 56k.
