2 weeks on, 1 week off (usually)...but sometimes long trips infringe on the swapping of crews.

Great health insurance (no cost), ok benefits. Good QOL on the road (hotels/cars, etc). I've flown 450 hours in the last 12 months.

The job is a lot of fun - probably the most enjoyable I've had. Pay is low, however...and the long term job security seems iffy at best. Major Airline interview scheduled next month.
Good luck!

Part 91
2 planes
5 pilots
400-450hrs per year per pilot
One weekend off per month (has to be requested in advance)
Good bene's and vacation time
Pay is average to just below ave.
Trips are known weekly and crewing might be done the night before. But all the scheduled trips are posted on a company calendar so you have an idea on what's coming up.

2 planes, 5 pilots, we make our own schedules between us. Know trips month in advance, basically monday thru thursday mostly day trips with very few overnights. During college football season it gets a little hairy with weekend trips to many SCC games were many of our firms higher ups are alumni. Overall not that bad and i'm usually home in time for dinner with the family everynight.

If I can add to this mcartier, what are everyone's on the road benefits like?
Quality of hotels?
Do you get a rental car?
Company card for food? Expenses?
Limited budget or pretty much free reign?
Do you set everything up or does someone else?

Me:
Typically Hilton's where available.
Rental car where available.
Company card for food. No official limit though I'm not stupid with it.
I set everything up on the road for myself and any passengers. Hotels, cars, etc.

Pt 91. 4 aircraft, 11 pilots including management. Everyone flies 2 types. Schedule dictated by dispatch, typically evens out flying over the course of the month. Trips are planned well in advance. Vacation is bid yearly, weekend schedule for entire year is put out at the beginning of the calendar, switching weekends is possible with some notice. Hotels are nice, company card for all expenses although most use their personal cards to accrue points. Certainly beats working for a living.

Pt 135
1 Aircraft
3 Pilots
400 hours per year per pilot
On call 24/7
99% of the time we know about a trip several days in advance
Days off can be arranged but there is no official "vacation" time
Pay is on the low-mid range
Benefits are OK, 121 was better
Hiltons or Marriotts
Company card for meals with no limit, just be reasonable
Rental car if available

I like this thread!

Part 91
1 plane. 2 pilots
On call 24 hours a day. Only had two pop ups in last 3 years
Fly mostly on weekends. 250'hrs a year.
No "hard days off"
Trips are planed 3 to 1 day in advance.
Pay is average.
2weeks Vacation
Health
401k

Hotels are Hilton properties
Rental car and food on company card.

If we could hire another pilot we could have a life. Boss won't do it though. Other than that it's not to bad.

We are exactly the same as you, except I typically use my personal card vs. company to earn the points... If we hired a third pilot, life would be great.
