LOL....thanks for the laugh.......self induced pain....lol.......who does that? Sorta like me keeping my mask on when I'm flying on the ol ejection seat....Of course it's always on even when it's 115 degrees out and my face is completely wet........though its fun when the stud freeks when we get a Master Warning due to an OBOGS fail due to my mask not being on.....lol..........but of course I always have my mask on.....

True, and the Emergency- Abnormal manual resembles a King James bible.

Sounds like school at the "Rock"..............I had no idea why we would have EP sims, heck I would get multiple emergencies on my flights....no need for a sim......1960's airframes always bring all sorts of fun.....I lost a complete hydraulic system on my AC Checkride......

haha. There were only a few that insisted on climbing above 410. Unless there is wx or the winds are significantly better, there is no reason to climb above that, IMHO.

Well, F430 and F450 make Atlantic crossings a bit easier; also oceanic routes where you can get above airline traffic. I did go over Hurricane Sandy last year at F450, smooth, miserable at F410. But, don't climb above F450.

WARrich

Should have flown the C-5--I gave an OME where we lost an engine AND hydraulics. I shutdown 12 engines, 4 on the NATS.

In 17 years, I can only remember riding in troop twice, during Desert Storm--hated it, backwards in dark hole, not knowng what's going on. Yes, about as reliable as a nickel watch. Did make it to F430, on a mask because the cabin was at 11,000 and climbing.
