Straight from their website.
"We travel the world in search of interesting, unique, great-tasting foods and beverages. We buy direct from the producer whenever possible. We strip away all the fancy stuff and focus on the important things like natural ingredients and inspiring flavors. We run a pretty lean ship, too - you won't find any corporate jets or fancy offices around here. Heck, our CEO doesn't even have a secretary!"

Do you own?
Broad question can be answered easily!
Of course they do! Trader Joe's just may not own the entire aircraft and deversify.
Invest a bunch of money in product for bulk and offer the low price, that is the cheap s--- they sell to the public.
"Two Buck Chuck" was defined by Trader Joe's for a reason (stuipd drunk people thinking a s--- bottle of wine tastes good for $2.00!!!!!!!).
New concept, NO.

Not a chance
Worked for them for twelve years, and I can categorically say "No". It's not the culture. This company runs like no other, store "Captains" (I was one) have pretty good autonomy to run things as they see fit and we had little meddling from Corporate. No need for a plane when the President can just call you on the phone - which he did on occasion. Buyers airline it - coach, but mostly let the mountain come to Mohamed.
The Albrecht family in Germany (the owners) might have a A/C but they are actually pretty low key and would likely use German Pilots. They only came over once a year anyway.
Trust me if there was a opening, I'd have been on it long ago. Good company to work for. Let that for this...
