awesome! only one day from considering to purchase. Who says times are tough??!! -- not so on the web!

Good luck with the headaches. He will likely sell it in a few weeks and just get the Grumman anyhow.

FSI has a shortened Global course, its only 8 days including sims. I'd look into that.

Hi!

My limited understanding of the planes is that the Gulfstream is better, and more expensive.

Service: Our friend is a service mgr. If a Gulfstream brakes anywhere in his service area, his only job is to get whatever parts and people are needed to that aircraft ASAP, to get it back into the air in mimimum time. He has been doing that quite a while, and Gulfstream has a great reputation for that type of thing.

I can only imagine the horror and tragedy involved going from a WSCoD to a allegedly unreliable 0.85M ultra-long range bizjet...that is wildly popular all over the world.

Ditto for Dassault, Bombardier, etc etc..I assume ALL OEMS have field service/account reps?

wow and as far as prices, is a G550 is more expensive than an XRS? are they more expensive than 7X's or 900EX Easy?

From what I've been told from friends who fly them (old chief pilot is a Bombardier demo pilot) is that Bombardier is getting better at service. I still hear stories of operators being delayed by parts distribution or recieving wrong parts (ordering a light bulb and getting a hyd pump! actually happened)but they are getting better by leaps and bounds.

Everything I hear about gulfstream is the best at OEM support with falcon a very close second.
