The fractionals are bigger money pits than actual ownership. I would either charter or own outright.

Default Is Blue Star a leader in this space?

Would you consider Blue Star a top company from the standpoint of:

-Good company to work for
-Good company to do business with(Customer perspective)

If not, then who are the top players in this space? I'm not asking who is the largest but who is the biggest when it comes to offering what customers want and taking care of their own people as well. The most smile per flight hour!

Thank you kind Gents and Gentesses...

I believe Blue Star Jets is just a charter broker. Someone else correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think they own/operate their own jets.

The cards they sell are basic contracts for chartered lift.

Now, if you were referring to Blue Star Airlines -- you'd have to ask Gordon Gekko how that company is doing.

Default $4500/passenger?

It's funny that in an interview I heard the news guy basically indirectly suggest that there is not much difference between them and an Airline. I believe the math was $4500/passenger for a 4 hour flight or something. Not sure.

Blue Star Jets is a charter broker. Its true they do not operate their own airplanes. Also, they have no operational control over any company's 135 certificate. The job of a broker is to bring a buyer and seller together. Blue Star is very active in the market today. I don't know if its a good company to work for because I don't know anybody who works for them.

And its true..... brokers have driven the price of charter way down. On the other hand, many operators couldn't do business without them. The charter industry is still much too fractionalized. Too much competition... too many operators and too many brokers and its gonna be a buyers market for a long time to come.

Just curious, what's your affiliation with Blue Star?

They were recommended to me some years ago. I generally check out recomendations myself before doing anything.
