I say...

Go to any airport, find a suspect tail number on any corporate aircraft. Look it up. Find the owner/entitiy. Approach them and query what/why they are there. One of the questions should be how much taxes they paid in 2009. Then appropriate how much of it was to fund the FAA. Then consider all the other economic multipliers resulting from that aircraft sitting on the ramp. These "elitists" are contributing to the economy everywhere they go.

If the owner is a public or mutual company, buy some of their stock or invest in there insurance policies. If you do not approve of them operating a corporate aircraft, vote by proxy to eliminate the asset.

You can be fervently opposed to a company or high-net worth individual blocking their tail number all you want. File your F.O.I.A request and get the answers you need. What you do with the information after the fact is what matters.

Do you expect the airlines to post who is on board what flight for the public to see too? That would go over well.

ELITISTS??

Yeah, those ELITISTS who either employ directly or cause people to be employed. Go to Wichita, KS and talk to the the 4,600 Cessna employees out of work. Talk to the 2,800 laid off Hawker Beechcraft workers. They will tell you what Im going to tell you----ITS GOOD WHEN THE RICH HAVE MONEY AND CAN SPEND IT.

Somebody bashed these "elite" over the automaker bailout fiasco and people like those in Wichita as well as countless pilots, mechanics, fuelers, FBO employees, and a lot of other people paid for it. Aircraft plant workers, hotel workers, the list goes on.

Talk to me, who has provided for his family because someone decided to fly a private aircraft. (non-blocked number, not that it matters).

Guess what, I have taxpayer dollars too---and Im ok with it.

Cessna Layoffs Continue

More Layoffs Loom For Hawker Beechcraft

Think about this and blocking your number:

Example One: You are in a specialized industry with few competitors. You are fighting for your market share. Do you want your competitors tracking your every move?

Example Two: You fly an aircraft that has a big time celeb on board. Do you want to fend off the paparazzi and the stalkers when you get to where you are going? Wouldn't it be a good idea to make it a little harder for throngs of people with a possible security threat to be around you, your passengers, and your aircraft? If I flew a celeb or VIP, I WOULD WANT MY NUMBER BLOCKED!

Example Three: Not every corporate airplane is operated by a public company. Some are strictly PRIVATE owned companies. Tracking them would be like tracking you in your car.

A lot of corporate pilots are going to take your attacks personal because private aviation provides a roof and food. It is easy to throw the "elite" under the bus when you are a "little guy". What those "little guys" don't realize is they throw other "little guys" under the bus at the same time.

how is harping on what the 'elite' do going to improve YOUR life ?
This kind of posting reminds me of when we had hall monitors in school.

TFB has yet to provide a daily accounting of his travels and yet he drives (I'm willing to bet) on tax payer provided roads. This is just someone who has found something that they think is worth griping about and not an ounce of reason will persuade them otherwise.

Save filing the F.O.I.A request; if I were to PM my tail number to you, could you tell me where my aircraft is right now?

Our tail number is blocked via the NBAA BARR program.
Yes I could
