Default GV pilots and training providers

Gents,

I have a favor to ask.
In the last 20 years, while I was playing around with airplanes, one of my high school classmates built up a very successful business.
About a month ago he asked me to connect him with a couple of GV brokers, which I did.

Now he wants to train 2 pilots and a mechanic.

I would like to create 2-3 options for him and need information on prices and most importantly overall quality of training at schools you had experience with.

Would you, please, share your thoughts and contacts.
Thank you very much.

Your options are either Flight Safety International and CAE SimuFlite. Both are top notch operations with very little difference between them. I've worked at and done all my training at CAE SimuFlite and I have nothing but good things to say. I have limited experience with Flight Safety, but it has been pleasurable as well.

The only way you are going to get accurate pricing is to contact the respective company directly. Rates are based upon many things including number of people, type of course, additional training, contracts, etc. These variations can cause the price to change by thousands of dollars.

Perhaps more importantly, if they need anybody for their flight department. Let me know!

Simuflite will almost always be cheaper than FSI for training on airframes they both cover...

Not sure about the V, but I have a friend that trains on the IV at FSI either in Wilmington or Savannah. As Brett pointed out, FSI and SimuFlite are the two main training providers. SimuFlite is cheaper on all accounts, but you pay for the training you get.

Default GV Training

HPNPilot's dad's exerience at CAE in the Lear 60 has nothing to do with CAE's GV program. While I did my G550 initial at FSI SAV, I did the GIV initial at CAE and have done all my GV recurrents at CAE. The CAE GIV/GV program is nothing short of outstanding and I highly recommend them.

FSI wilmington center has a top notch GIV GV G550 and G200 program! I know a few of their current and former instructors and i must say they are worth every bit of what you pay to go in there.

Actually the Lear 60 program is provided by Bombardier. They just happen to rent out certain sections of SimuFlite's facilities.

From my experience in both Dassault and Gulfstream products, FSI is more expensive because the training is better in every aspect. Not that CAE is poor, just not as good as FSI.

Ah, I forgot about that. Please disregard my comments above. My sincere apologies.
