Default Excel to XLS+

Has anyone here transitioned from the Excel/XLS to the XLS+? What is the course length/cost? Thanks

I have flown the XLS+ quite abit. My last recurrent was in the +. Switchology is different than the XL/XLS (such as the Battery switch is now push button, and located on tilt panel by pilots knee). Throttles are larger and have the speedbrakes on a toggle on the throttle. Also, with the FADEC engines it can now be started in either Cut-Off or Idle. (the start buttons are by the throttles now too). Several other changes too. Most of the differences courses run about 3 days I think.

Sorry, but I don't know the cost.

Thanks, I heard from FlightSafety and it is about $10K for a 2 day conversion course. It is cheaper just to attend a recurrent and do it in the XLS+. Go figure ---

As of last Feb anyway, the flight safety differences course is an absolute joke. Also (again as of last Feb) if you're on a full-service plan for the XL/XLS they won't allow you to do recurrent in the XLS+ without paying for differences too.

It sounds like that may have changed. At least on the phone anyway- the rep indicated it was possible to do a recurrent in the XLS+ and pay just for a recurrent. However, since I have not gone any further with it I would not say that is 100% possible.
