Intellicast weather radar shows the line of weather NW of Tampa had abated by 6 pm

A similar accident occurred this past winter with a Bonanza going through some weather just northwest of Tampa and auguring in with two souls.

2009 is shaping up to be a very bad year for aviation. RIP . . . 5 humans and one beautiful plane no longer with us.

crazy thing is it looks like he was almost through it....

however... all the more reason to use some airmanship and put it on the ground and wait it out....

I just don't get it. It’s bad enough that the pilot lost his life… but the avoidable tragic loss of life of the innocent lives???? well enough said.
