Job Desc: ACCOUNTABILITY:
This position is responsible for ensuring that qualified flight crews are available and effectively and efficiently scheduled to meet the flight schedules required by customers. This is accomplished by ensuring that the training, and operational and regulatory compliance of all pilots, instructors, and check airmen are up to date and in full compliance with FAA regulations. The position also serves as the TSA Aircraft Operator Security Coordinator for the company.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1. Supervision of pilots as to their training and qualifications in accordance with the rules and regulations of the FAA and the company including, but not limited to, training requirements are scheduled, completed, and accurately documented, and auditing all training records on a regular basis.
2. Serve as Ground and Flight Instructor and Check Airman as necessary.
3. Supervise instructors ensuring their competency in conducting pilot training and checking in accordance with the rules and regulations of the FAA and the company including, but not limited to, auditing training conducted by company instructors and check airmen, training of instructors and check airmen on new regulations, policies and procedures, and the auditing of contract training centers.
4. Create and modify courseware to meet the training requirements of the FAR 135 training manual including, but not limited to, creation and modification of lesson plans, PowerPoint presentations, instructional handouts, and other training aids as necessary.
5. Serve as the primary Aircraft Operator Security Coordinator, the primary corporate level contact for security related activities and communications with the TSA as it applies to the TSA 12-5Security Program on a 24-hour basis. This includes, but is not limited to, the retrieval of the TSA "No Fly List", distribution of the list to necessary individuals, and the training of all pilots, ensuring compliance with all TSA 12-5 regulations.
6. Management and supervisory duties including, but not limited to, interviewing and hiring, performance management and appraisal, crew scheduling, resolution of scheduling conflicts, general administrative responsibilities, flying trips as necessary, pilot drug testing, office organization and long range planning.
Benefits: Health, life, dental insurance, 401K, STD/LTD, vacation, plus much more for full time employees only.
All Part Time employees are eligible for 401k only.
Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Education and training to obtain required licenses and certificates
·FAA Airline Transport Certificate
· FAA First Class Medical Certificate
· 8 to 10 years experience
·Qualified to serve as Pilot in Command in at least one aircraft used in the certificate holder’s operation
· 3 years experience as pilot in command of an aircraft operated under part 121 or part 135 of FAR 119.71
·Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
·Working knowledge of TSA Security Program
· Expert working knowledge of applicable training requirements and programs
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:· Must be able to use a computer and cellular phone. · Will frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, and bend. · May travel extensively: will walk inside and outdoors, up and down stairs, sit for extended periods of time, lift moderate to heavy objects.· Position will typically perform many job duties exposed to extreme heat, extreme cold, and various inclement weather conditions· Must be able to read and comprehend written policies and regulations· Must be able to safely and effectively operate required equipment· Must be able to read and comprehend FAA and FAR regulations, company policies and procedures, aircraft manufacturers’ operational and repair manuals and updates
