We had a Citation instructor tell us two years ago he started at 50k and by the fifth year you were making six figures. He also said they have alot of time off, almost two weeks per month. He supplemented his income by flying contract trips around the DFW Metroplex on his days off. He was very happy. I think it takes a special breed to teach groundschool and ride in pretend airplane though.

This instructor worked 3-4 on, 3-4 off. More like an airline schedule than anything. I don't know if he's still there or not, those big sim training facilities have a fair amount of turnover. I can give you the guy's name if you want and you can call for yourself.
There are a lot of former military pilots instructing there. You could probably do a little networking with your buddies and find someone who works there that would be willing to answer your questions.
Good luck.

North East Training Center in Morristown NJ pays a location differential beyond the normal pay for Dallas (obviously more expensive to live there). I believe the overall general salary for full-time is 75% NBAA as previously mentioned. It varies based upon your previous experience and type ratings.
I do know this fact... they pay better than FlightSafety.
Schedule is what's called a 5-S-2... 5 on, standby, 2 hard days off. However that may vary with staffing requirements.
