We currently have 5 Falcons flying and 2 Lears with another one about to come out of the 12 year wing inspection. Even if we had all the airplanes up, we coldn't crew them. I actually know we are looking for street Captains for the Lears, check climbto350.com, and will probably be hiring FO's for both sides in the next few months.

Stick to posting about what you know Sbaker

Ya know, when I first came to ADS I kinda worried about cherry air and all its nicknames - but when it comes down to it - your absolutely right, cherry air hasn't bent metal, the other guys on the field have. I've proctored writtens for a bunch of cherry fo's, and it really seems like a descent place. I work upstairs at Atlantic Aviation for ATP, that's my seminole parked among the cherry air parts planes.

Any and all details would be appreciated as far as schedule, pay, QOL... if you prefer, we can talk through pm/email/phone etc... thanks!

oh one more thing.......dont take this in a negitive manner because i dont mean it in a bad way..... but what do you think is the value of cherry air (the entire company, aircraft, facilitys and customer list) if somone was concidering purchasing it??? this is assuming it is a private company
The 135 Freight industry has changed dramitically in the past 10 years. We used to have almost 80 pilots when we were flying all the airplanes. Now we have less than 20. We don't need all the airplanes anymore so why waste time and money keeping them flyable? It doesn't make sense. I see all the old Lears getting cut up before to long anyway.

How much is Cherry worth...
I have no idea. Looking to invest in a 135 company?

Depending on how long you've worked there, you might have given me my test.

Quick explaination
Sched-5 on 2 off(weekends off)
FO pay around $35,000
Capt. pay around $60-65,000
QOL-ain't the worst job!

PM me for more details if you want them

I'm over at GKY, been in and out of ADS picking up and dropping off, all I can say is it sucks getting in and out during rush hours. If you're playing the fuel game, add a few extra lbs/gal for waiting your turn.

very valid point you make. with the evolution of the freight industry espically 135 has changed dramatically....cherry has always struck me as an opportunity for in investor to do somthing special....i have a few partners that are looking into this currently and and cherry air is a name that has been brought up several times....in my personal opinion im thinking around $15,000,000.oo would proably seal the deal...if all the aircraft were working it would be a different story, but with the seven operational aircraft and the many non operational aircraft, cherry could be aquired at a resonable cost to the investor

Yeah your probably close to what its worth. If someone did buy us out, it could be a really great place if they were willing to invest some money. I think any 135 operator flying freight with Falcons is going to have to get 731 engine Falcons. Either buy corporate ones and cut a hole or retrofit the ones we already have. IFL did it when they bought there new Falcons, NICE old corporate birds. Then you would have to buy Lear 35's and sell all the 25's sitting around. There are a bunch of great people here but some things would need changing if someone bought Cherry.

After checking how much we made last year, I see where you got your number. It might take more than $15mil to buy after seeing that we made that much last year alone.

thats gross income annually.... add in taxes and overhead bet profit is around the 200K mark...... overhead is a killer...........theres some real benifits on those lear 25's if u have the $$ to retrofit williams engines on them

I'm sure its a lot more than that. I do have the Presidents number if you want to pass it along? Just an idea. You are going to buy 731 Falcons though right?

Bwhahaha i hope not!! I only have 2 flying headaches now, i dont need anymore lol

if it was my call and there were the funds available, i would proably liquidate most aircraft....keeping a few falcons, replace all the lears with PC-12's ........really wouldnt know what to replace the falcons with.....seems like they fill a niche that no other aircraft does right now
