So you are going to deny a jumpseat to a pilot because his Dad was a CAL SCAB? In other words you will punish the son for the sins of the father. You do know that ALPA forgave the CAL Scabs when they merged with United

Yes, if I had the opportunity I would deny a jumpseat. Having SCAB blood is not the only reason. Cheapening and embarrassing the profession is a major reason, too.

While I see your point about punishing the son for the sins of the father, you’re completely wrong about ALPA “forgiving” scabs at CAL. US labor law REQUIRED us to not exclude them from membership during the merger. In other words, we could either hold out noses and allow them in, per federal law, or we’d have to exclude the vast majority of CAL pilots who are solid unionists and not let them in at all. The obvious choice was to integrate them with us and hold our noses at the fact that we legally couldn’t exclude the scabs. There was NO forgiveness, simply a compliance with law.

Dog whistle.
Scab, scab, scab.
What the minions flip out and lose sleep. Bark, dogs. Bark.
I'm also aware of the extremists who are driven to madness by the mere mention of the word, who vow to punish the "scabs" in life and death, and to punish their families. I've no use for that juvenile stupidity. It's a god damn job. Grow up, folks. Calm down. You'll give yourselves a stroke.

This slathering, mindless mentality is exactly that to which I referred.

Of course "scabs" are real. Of course they're not welcome back in the employment line in a union shop, after they've crossed a pickete line. I'm quite aware of the implications; unlike some here, I've spent my time as a steward and business agent, and have represented in bargaining, grievance settlemnt, and in disciplinary proceedings. I'm aware.

I get what you're saying. I've run into a few people who have had a good experience with CLA. Maybe they had low standards.

If its a managed account, 90% of the QOL is determined by the lead on the account and the owner of the airplane. I worked for two different Solarius accounts, one was awesome, one was awful. Solairus had no influence on the QOL, it was all the lead and/or the owner.
