Default What keeps Bizav Leaders up at night?

Article from AINsight. Pretty much Captain Obvious stuff but it's nice to hear they're worrying about it at least. These were anomous surveys AIN sent out.

Any and all retention issues that 91 & 135 biz jet operators are having is 100% their own fault.
Most have had their collective heads in the sand, allowing good people to vote with their feet, for years.
Most departments (pricipals and "leadership" alike) have just flat-out refused to listen to the needs of their flight crews, as far as compensation, schedule, QoL, etc.

If they're struggling, they've earned it.

I wish that there was a LIKE button for your post. You are 100% correct. Corporate flight departments were like the only girl at the Riddle dance and ruled with an iron fist for 30 years, until the pilot pay shortage reared its head.. Now, its like a busload of pretty girls showed up at the dance and the other ones (the corporate flight departments) couldn't handle the competition. Apologies to my female Riddle buddies for my analogy, but you know that I am right, LOL!

If given the choice of a pay raise, or another pilot for the department, the majority of corporate pilots want another pilot. Most owners prefer to just give their current pilots more money and expect them to keep dealing with the schedule. After a while, no amount of money can make up for not being home, or having a predictable schedule.
