WANTED: N-number tracking site
Does anyone know how or where I can search for information relating to a particular N-number?
For example, where was N12345 last Thursday at 4:00 p.m.? Where has N12345 flown to/from during the last month? Has N12345 been out of the country this year?
Thanks,
MEM_ATC

Surely you know about flightaware.com and flightexplorer.com, if you know the tail number and or a destination airport you can get quite a bit of history from them. I think it is radar history. The flight has to have been on an IFR flight plan and they have to have been non-hidden status. Corporate flight ops will obtain hidden flight plans as a matter of routine to hide where/when the brass goes out of town. Also, I doubt there are radar tracks for major portions of the United States due to lack of coverage. I couldn't speak about any premium flight tracker services although I am sure there are some.

This begs the question of WHY you want to know where N12345 was last Thursday at 4:00 PM? Or where it has flown in the past month. Is this a Patriot Act inquiry? Inquiry on behalf of a suspicious wife? Violation in hand for the poor guy who dipped a wingtip into the edge of Class B?

Easy there Nitefrater... I could care less where you were last month... the Patriot Act sucks... ditched my wife several years ago... and I'm not into ratting on pilots who skirt across/below/near my Class B airspace.

Cubdriver,
Thanks for the info. I've seen the site posted here before, but did not save the link nor remember the name.

Which leaves the question still standing. Why?
