Requirements for SIC

Q for the group. I went thru the FAR/AIM and believe I have the answer, however...
Part 91 Hawker 800XP has a type rated PIC but requires 2 pilots up front. Is there a such a thing as a SIC rating for the right seat? Is it less $ for this training than a type?
Yes, there is a SIC type rating, new in the last 2 years or so. As posted before, not required unless leaving the country.
My initial SIC training was around $8k at Simcom. This was before the SIC type. I went to the FSDO to get the type added when it became a requirement for my job.
I think its around $15k for a PIC type at Simcom, $25k or so at FSI. A type ride can be added to any recurrent training for nothing or a little extra.
As posted before, it will depend on your companies insurance requirements. You may be able to comply with part 61 training in house and be on your way.
BTW, $60k for SIC in the Hawker is high, take it. Sure it's less than your making after 8 years in the military, but where else are you going to get that?
