What's a reasonable G550 pilot salary

I'd negotiate for more (140 - 150?) and have apps in at the airlines. Start the corp gig, and if an airline calls and it seems like a better upside, then you have some leverage and can vote with your feet if necessary.
Good luck.

Mink is bang on target. Have an out, especially if you are new at this. Ask about the operation, IN DETAIL. You want to know if it is a "managed" plane thru Jet or EJUM; if so, does the owner charter it. If so, details. If it's chartered, you may find yourself flying 20+ days some months. Or, the owner might charter it to his extended family for Christmas EVERY year. If it is true corporate plane (Fortune 100) there are some stability, but plenty of private owners are also wedded to having a plane--ask about ownership, type of use, international ops (do they have a Jepp or UVAir contract) or is each trip a "science project" for you.
There are large-cabin bizjets that cruise NYC-PBI every weekend and there are some that spend all summer in Nice or South America, you want to know which it is.

I came from the military to corporate; have learned some lessons along the way. Ask about bonuses, guaranteed days off, health and dental, 401K. Are they paying for a type rating? If not, walk away. Do they have an Ops Manual or some set of procedures? Maybe some of these questions are not appropriate for the first interview, but if it gets to looking / feeling like a job offer, be sure to dig deep. Don't be a "just happy to get a flying job" guy. Times, thankfully, have changed.

And yes, those numbers are high if we are talking principal salary.

125-140 without a G550 rating; 150-175 with it and time on type. With the understanding on a salary bump with captain qualification. But, huge amount depends on the “intangibles”—expense policy, schedule, charter when not operating 91; do you feel comfortable about them. I earned, by salary surveys and experience, under NE salary, but loved the work, the people, the experiences, the 30 minute commute and a “no contribution” pension enough that it worked.

This would be a 30 min commute. Small airport (ie not TEB). No charter. Talked with a few of the pilots and they are quite happy. I’m very excited, but also want to give a reasonable expected pay. Appreciate the info.

G550 FO jobs in the NYC area have a large variation. I'ver heard $85k ranging to $135k. best of luck!

I would go to the airlines. Seems like a no brainer to me. Somewhere in your second or third year you'll make what you are in corporate with way better benefits, QOL, you can call in sick, easier job, etc etc etc.
Who would consider going to corporate if your qualified for the majors?
