My thoughts on why Compass is different: no other regional had such an experience shift. When the Delta flows left, it was almost everyone on the original list. Other regionals with flow agreements are much bigger with more metering, so while they might be putting people into their respective mainline carrier, they are still leaving pilots with 6-7 years of experience. Places like ExpressJet/ASA, SkyWest or Republic have a group of pilots with 20+ years on property (I guess Envoy does too).
Essentially though, every other regional has those people on their forums keeping the conversation in check. As we noted before with the average stay at Compass being 3 years means once the flows left the average seniority at Compass would be around 1.5-2 years. Although there are guys that have been in the industry for 5-10 years etc, there are many who this is their first 121 gig after getting out of school or being a CFI.

I would love to ask our SMS chief on the call if he knows scheduling is trying to duty people off for "rest" from RAP 1 and sometimes AR1 for all night assignments.... just how legal, contractual, and totally UNSAFE it is to even suggest such an assignment! It's apparently happening to more people than just me- shocker!
