RNP is expensive...and this airline gets by just fine without it, I'm guessing it is/was on the back burner with all the money they are throwing at recruiting. They won't do it till it's required by the FARs...Just like ADSB, being required by 2020, you think they'll do that soon 😂

RNAV visuals are air carrier/aircraft specific, so I'm guessing we haven't gotten authorization yet because we haven't proved the airplane is capable and that our current profile for landing supports it, again I'm guessing its in the database because they're testing it in the sim which requires the same database...
I'm fairly certain that RNAV "visual" that's in the database is the same exact approach as the RNAV RNP Z 26 into ABQ. I'll have to double check it. Either way, I still don't see the problem as I am not actually doing the RNP approach. It's VMC and cleared for the visual, as far as I'm concerned, I'm just using waypoints for situational awareness. I understand accepting an RNP approach or another we aren't certified for, but for a visual?

I hate that I'm nerding out right now, so, sorry for that... but RNP AR approaches are prohibited, whereas a simple "RNP," which is found on many of our regular GPS approaches (ABQ GPS Y RWY 8) is allowed. Even where an RNP (not AR) approach has curved paths to final, as long as it does NOT show RNP "AR" it can be flown provided that the RF (curved) paths are not flown (ie. Vector to final), see RNO ILS Z 16R.

Ok, nerd moment over, sorry about that. Anyway, I checked in today, you guys were right it's pretty helpful and not hard. Baby steps.

Swag

What's the companies policy on headsets? Do they have to be TSO'd?
