Based off the most recent PRF, I’m glad to see we are now at the level of the FA group with our ability to show up for our assignments. Pretty sad that we now all have to check in for assignments. There goes the only trust the company had with its pilot group, good job boys/girls

Who's job is it going to be to enforce it? CP? Scheduling? I'm not going to lose sleep over it. I'll just show up like normal, it's a pretty low priority for me honestly. We got more important things to think about before we fly....

Unfortunately that’s not the way contracts work. Regardless if one wishes it to be so.
If I sign a contract with you to do my lawn for 10 years at a rate or 80 a week, if the labor market shrinks and you have to pay your guys 90 a week to mow my lawn that is not my problem. The only recourse you have out of the contract is to declare bankruptcy.
Delta and compass in 2010 agreeded on a CPA.In the subsequent years the pilot labor market was turned on its head costs to CP have skyrocketed flying was moved out west and the aircraft have not been as mechanically robust as was forecasted. CP can go to Delta and AA to ask for More to continue to operate but neither carrier in this environment has a vested interest in paying more for our service, in addtion our historical industry leading performance has eroded further exacerbating the argument we can make to our customers that the premium that we will need given the scale has value.
I say all this because if we operate under the premise that our leaders are immoral, evil and greedy and that is why they wake up everyday to use our contract as toilet paper things get very toxic for the one thing we have going for us, a good culture.
I instead take their recent behavior to indicate that the business is in a crunch survival mode with those folks in Building C doing what they can to keep the ship a float sometimes to our detriment.
On the issue of poor planning that is also true but when you don’t have the capital to invest in experienced talented individuals you often are left with a business not running optimally. We have 2 people doing the job of 10 over there which puts our ability to future plan at non functional level.

CP has the lowest operating costs around, all we provide is people, that make less. Unless somebody out there is looking to purchase the aircraft we fly and charge the same operating price, then there should be no issues with paying CP the same operating price as they pay anyone else.

He replied pointing out that he may not have checked in, but that they made D0, blocking out early. He then recieved a reply only intended for the other chiefs telling them to "squirrel it away" for any other mistakes he might make.
For those asking how I know, I saw the correspondence between the pilot and the chiefs.

That’s a pretty naive statement to think nothing will happen. Obviously this is a big enough issue that the company now made it a PRF. At some point, some pilot will be made an example of for this. Hopefully I’m completely wrong but if anyone has your mentality about this small issue, we surely will all hear about it on here and I will just sit back and say, well I told you so

I guess you speak on behalf of our partners now. I’m curious as to what facts you have to back this statement up.
