Edit: just reread your post, if it shows 48 hour window on duty plan then yes it was coded in and should reflect on rainmaker I guess.

Compass Updates - Saga Continues
Yeah I did everything the CBA says, but rainmaker is still only showing 100%. I've had this happen before, and they told me that rainmaker is controlling now, not IOCC. The lack of responsiveness is frustrating, makes me not want to pick up anything ever again.

I had the same experience before. I was told when scheduling puts in too many codes (resched, etc), it ignores the W48 code. If you flag it, it should get it rectified, instead of rectumfied.

Captains, PLEASE know our jumpseat policies. Compass maintenance CAN use our cabin jumpseat on our delta birds. I'm completely shocked that a captain just turned a COMPASS mechanic I know away in OAK. SOC tried to call him and explain this is ok and he still refused. Please take care of our own and don't have a "power" trip with our jumpseats. We should NEVER be leaving our own people behind when they show up for our flights and we have seats. Period. Check your FOM, THIS IS ALLOWED. This captain just costed her an $80 ride to SJC from OAK to try another compass flight. Nice job dude.

There has got to be more to this story, especially if the dispatcher was trying to contact the CA to advise him of this

The gate agents were the first to say no... this mechanic had a copy of our FOM page showing that employees may use the cabin jumpseat for business or personal with authorization (which this person had in possession) the mechanic tried to reason with them showing them the manual excerpt and they still said no. So.. like any of us, the mechanic appealed to the captain through the gate agents. They went down to talk to him and they came up saying he said no and would not come up to the boarding area and talk with the mechanic directly. So.. what do you do? She called MXC who got her in touch withe dispatcher who called the guy and they talked for several minutes. He then refused because he wouldn't take a delay to get her on the release (which is not required). So it was a big moment of total buffoonery. I bring this up on APC because this is not the first time a gate agent has said "no" because they only see pilots, dispatchers, and FAs on their screen, but usually she can show the manual and get through or at least the flight crew has her back.... the last thing she heard was from dispatch literally apologizing to her because this dude wouldn't let her on. By the time it was escalated to SOC IT was still D-8. Unbelievable

DL & AA do not control CP jumpseats, only cabin seats. If the gate agent cannot figure it out, it’s on them, plain and simple.
This news is very disappointing. That lousy excuse for a crew deserves to be given some words, maybe more.
We all need to be doing the “jumpseat walk” to make sure nobody gets left behind. If you can’t see the gatehouse from the plane, at least one pilot should head up there prior to push.
