You're sharing a room until you get to sims which will then be single occupancy. I believe you're single occupancy during ctp as well. If they're still putting people up at the extended stay then it's like a two bedroom apartment and you'll have a private bedroom.

Double occupancy
Extended stay America is not to separate bedrooms. You have 2 beds same room and a kitchenette.

To our new pilots: welcome aboard. You have plenty of people giving you some good advice. Make sure you spend time studying, but spend time for yourself as well. It’s a lot to process, so don’t get burnt out. Exercise, have a beer with your study partner, etc. it’s not difficult.
Everyone else has said what needs to be said: company is in the business to make money. In that interest; they will do whatever is necessary to meet that goal, and deal with whatever potential consequences, positive and negative, at a later time. So does that mean you will get single or double occupancy? Not sure. My advice: chose your battles. Remember, regardless of experience, you’re a probationary FO. Can be fired, for any reason, within the first year. Don’t give them ammo in which to do it.

Last three sentences are the truth! 20plus years of jet flying or 20plus mins of a new hire class, it’s exactly the same when your a new FO in training on probation

This^^^^^^^ NEVER expect ANY airline management to keep it's word. Ask me how I know. Since 1990 I have been lied to and cheated by the best in the airline biz. Understand and accept this undeniable fact and your time in this industry will be much more bearable.

False, I’ve been to this dump heap to see a friend in training and its a standard room with 2 beds and a kitchen area. I don’t know where this comes from but this ^^ is what they were telling classes on day one as well then they show up to a standard room. Don’t speak unless you know, otherwise you are just spreading the coolaid.

Not sure I agree 100%. I hear what you’re saying and definitely don’t go causing a huge fuss and get yourself fired. BUT, there is a clear difference in the way management feels they can take advantage of a band new CFI who would sell his mother into slavery just to fly the 175 vs somebody who’s been in the industry and knows how to play the game. If you’re prior 121 you already know this, you know what battles to choose, when to put your foot down, etc. If you’re brand new, management will try to rape you harder, its just fact, sorry. Even on the line, they try to sucker new guys into accepting illegal call outs more, etc. Best bet if you are brand new, find the crusty old 121 pilot in your class and pair up with them for sim! Also, if you’re prior 121 this job is cake, relax and enjoy training!
