Interesting that nobody has brought up what they said in response to the question about career progression. I believe BG said they are talking two to three times a week with other airlines about career progression options for our pilots whether that is with a cargo company or maybe somewhere out in Hawaii. He said they are working on something but can't say names. I thought this would have instantly started up the rumor mill! TeaBag where are you at with the big announcement coming next friday?
Also flew with a very senior SLIP two weeks ago and they heard a deal is already done and just waiting to be announcement.

Perspective is everything. This is place is going to be what you make of it.
I was prior Military: they treat everyone equally there. Doesn’t matter your job, tenure etc; you were all crapped on and treated like a big machine.
Yeah we got our negatives. But at the end of the day, I get to pay my bills, go home and generally left alone, with 16 days off a month. Dunno where else I’m going to get that unless it’s a major.
I also see why people are rightfully ****ed. You did bring up the CBA, so I will point out that it’s ok for the company to pick and chose which sections they will abide by, but when it comes to us, we can’t have at the very least some questions about it? Honest question, not trying to goad you into an argument.

For those that are wondering , one of my friends that I recommended started Indoc today. 8 people in his new hire class, and it’s either an October 23rd or Nov 6th ground school.

I mean that's not the worst be definitely needs to be better. I was kinda upset the company didn't seem to act like we need more money but the truth is Skywest is our main competitor for CFIs and we need to up our game to truly convince a 22 year old social media laden CFI that us losing planes is better than them gaining them.

You’re right how do we get these guys? We’re all in the regionals, and let’s face it we’re not major/legacy Airlines. Personally for me, I was looking at who would suck the least . Is that everyone’s driving factor? Not an easy task by far.

I agree, but also realize the pickle the recruiters are in (incredibly difficult job, and I commend them for what they are doing). Been looking at the regionals since before I started flying. This was prior 2014. In that short time , the hiring environment has changed dramatically. People can literally go anywhere.

I agree but 8 is pretty good though because we normally do a max of 10 per class so that’s decent. I think Compass will start getting the guys that want to remain on the west coast

Man no offense but do you not have any friends in the industry who can offer some advice. You've been posting in a lot of forums asking the same question and it doesn't seem like you are ready to pull the trigger. I have a friend at CPZ who loves it. Doesn't have a bad thing to say and he isn't that senior.
Every regional forum is going to have negative complainers. What I wouldn't do is go to QX as they really are having some issues.
Go to CPZ get your feet wet in the airline industry and move on. I commute on CPZ all the time and I'm a jealous as I can be knowing I could have upgraded on the west coast in the ERJ with great guys/gals.
Go for it man. These guys have offered a ton of advice, which is every company has its negatives but CPZs positives outshine the negatives. Any regional you go to will be a regional.
My .02 cents I'll head back to the OO forum quickly no flaming please .
