It's the ebb and flow of the forums. You can find the same up and down emotional jabber in every forum for every airline. There are certainly airlines that are better to work for compared to Compass, but it is my sole opinion that there are many more that are not.

After they close Phoenix they are opening GEG. I heard the bike bar company downtown has a huge flight training program.

Keep in mind that our contract allows the company to take our vacation away for operational need. It’s not like they are just saying to the pilots. They are following our contract regarding our vacation...for once

I'm sure some of the more senior guys will tell you it's just the regionals. We are not airlines we are low cost employees that can't move on without being a low cost employee. Obviosuly I don't complain to scare you but to keep us all aware and to continue a conversation with other coworkers so we can try and plan to prevent the company taking too much. Unfortunately wherever you go you will not be treated how the pilots at mainline are, that's just the way it is now. If you are a west coast resident that wants to move on we have a base and movement to offer you, but we are a regional, so is Horizon, and Skywest. Do the best you can do to move on, it's a gamble that you must weigh the risk and reward.

Man no offense but do you not have any friends in the industry who can offer some advice. You've been posting in a lot of forums asking the same question and it doesn't seem like you are ready to pull the trigger. I have a friend at CPZ who loves it. Doesn't have a bad thing to say and he isn't that senior.

Every regional forum is going to have negative complainers. What I wouldn't do is go to QX as they really are having some issues.

Go to CPZ get your feet wet in the airline industry and move on. I commute on CPZ all the time and I'm a jealous as I can be knowing I could have upgraded on the west coast in the ERJ with great guys/gals.

Go for it man. These guys have offered a ton of advice, which is every company has its negatives but CPZs positives outshine the negatives. Any regional you go to will be a regional.

No offense taken...this is simply a huge step for me coming from a Cush corp gig. I know my quality of life is going to take a major kick in the nads. I'm just trying to make the best possible decision with all the information I can possibly obtain. My entire family is in the industry, however the regional stop for them was
Decades ago.....they don't have a lot to offer besides "get in and gtfo".

Like the other guy said, every regional has its issues. I came from Mesa and his place, even on its worst day, blows Mesa away hands down! But there are things cpz does that I don’t like when compared to Mesa. No matter what, your gonna run into issues no matter where you go.
