I understand your frustration but what I said previously (new hires) will contribute to you getting a line. Also You'll want Green Days once you get a line. It'll allow you flexibility to drop or trade and improve your schedule/quality of life. So NO let's not forget the Green Days lol

Lol it does suck but hey man I never once separated the two (Line vs Green Days). They usually kinda go hand in hand. Especially with attrition so high. All I'm basically saying is that once we start getting these people through the door movement will start again. You will not get a line unless there's adequate people to fill your spot on reserve.

With that said, though, this place is NOT that bad. I'm still happy here overall. So if you are reading this thread and thinking about coming here...

Yeah, me too. I really think we are GENERALLY on the right track. I'm not really sure what goes on the mind of management here. It's almost like they allergic to good morale...every time something good comes our way they like to drop something questionable out there as well. Like this stupid right seat qualified captain crap.

Reserve time right now is not a good estimation of what it will be, due to the massive attrition and huge attempt at a hiring wave to replace for the attrition. Somebody hired right now might do no reserve or up to maybe 6 months if you're on the back end of the hiring wave, it also depends on the base I'd say.
PHX is only going to be about 30 crews. As for a new hiring getting it, you might get it out of training or it could go senior and take some time. It's really anybody's guess, I think we probably have 30 ca/fo that commute to LA from PHX I would imagine, worst case scenario you could expect some time commuting to LA and would get PHX eventually, even if it goes "Senior" keep in mind "senior" at Compass is very relative with our high attrition, you can get senior pretty quick. That said PHX will probably be the cheapest base, those do tend to go a bit more senior because SEA/LAX are expensive to live in. Commuter policy requires you to have 2 flight options that will get you in time. In reality not really an issue unless you're continually missing commutes, but as long as you're commuting responsibly they'll work with you. Realistic upgrade to captain in any base, it's at ~24 months right now but that's because of the 6 month pause we took. But it's anybody's guess what it'll do. Again, front of the wave might hit it in 18 months (prob in LAX base), someone hired later on might take longer.
As for wanting to work 85-90 hrs a month instead of 75, this should be no problem for you, people are always wanting to drop/trade trips and then there is a pool of opentime as well. If you're in PHX you conceivably would have both PHX opentime and then LAX opentime w/in 5 days to pick from. If you pick up at the end of the SCP for 48 hrs it pays at 125% and they send out critical pay trips at 150% from time to time, so a small increase in workload can greatly increase your credit from time to time.
