Actually our CBA allows for recoupment of training costs if you leave before 12 months. I don't remember the exact amount but it is prorated by the month.
Page 11-30 "17. Cost of Training
All new hire Pilots who are type rated pursuant to
subparagraph 11.V.16. above and subsequently resign
within twelve (12) months are responsible to reimburse the
Company for training costs associated with Pilot’s Initial
Training in the amount of twelve thousand dollars
($12,000.00). This amount will be prorated over the twelve
(12) months from completion of training at the rate of onetwelfth
(1/12) per month on payroll. A Pilot who resigns
following a Company announcement of a Pilot layoff which
(i) includes the Pilot, or (ii) the Pilot could reasonably
presume would include the Pilot, will not be required to
reimburse this cost."

Unfourtunately, its true. I called 3 guys I know who left recently all within their 12mo, 2 to 135 and 1 to major and they all 3 got calls, and subsequently called their lawyers. This is messed up even for TSH.

Messed up for TSH. No. This is SOP in their playbook. Like gojo said, what makes everyone think that Compass will be exempt?

Well, I think anybody getting called is going to just safely ignore TSH, if they really really are doing it. Since nothing was ever signed and as far as the CBA, obviously they don't follow it... thankfully in my case been here >12 mo so doesn't matter.
I didn't realize so many people even leave within the 12 mos...

To add to the current topic, I personally know two FAs who were terminated with weeks left on their probation. As far as I know neither had any problems like MFAs or sick calls. I presume it was to avoid having to pay them at Year 2 rates.

It doesn't take much for a new hire FA to get fired. They are pretty expendable/easy to replace and the in flight supervisor seems to be a pretty lousy manager with a penchant towards trivial tyranny.

Hey all, interviewing soon, a couple quick questions. How long from start of training, to completing IOE currently? The recruiter wasn't 100% clear on how long the at home training portion lasted. Secondly, with the growth in SEA, is the reserve time starting to drop at all yet, and if so what is it looking like? Thanks in advance.

No LCR? I bid max days off and get stuck with a 90+ hour line...Did they raise the floor? It seems everyone is over 85 hours for October.
