Hmm 70 seat E175s for Delta....because 70 seaters are not suited for the West coast.
In all seriousness though, the fact that TSH feels willing to shell out $17,500 per new hire means they are looking towards the future and want to fulfill their end of the deal with our mainline partners.
For potential new pilots reading this, now is a good time to come to Compass. You'll get to fly an all E175 fleet, from West coast domiciles, with a good hourly rate and until ALPA can get the $17,500 bonus included into a new rate you'll get a competitive bonus/ total compensation.

The place to go is SkyWest. They are stable, no union drama, getting new planes and the best route structure of all regionals (and maybe even better than domestic mainline).

Giving a bonus is a sign of desperation. You guys have lost planes, closed your most senior base and are owned by TSH (one notch above Mesa). You lose even one contract and it's furlough time.

Also, SKW is actively advertising visa's for foreign pilots. Another sign of desperation for pilots, just in different form. Get over your self. SKW and CPZ are two very different companies, comparing the two and the long term stability doesnt make sense as both have strengths and weaknesses. If you think owning your own planes is a great thing, what about when the economy tanks and SKW still has to foot the bill for em. Then what? Or when oil sky rockets and your 50 seaters become a bean counters worst nightmare. Your grass is not necessarily greener than ours. STOP IT

Yes from what I understand the Delta birds are just one for one replacements for 200's and are not growth. This is why they are 70 seaters because Delta is scoped out for 76 seaters so they need to be 70 or less to fit within scope.

And Iv been LAX- DFW-MSP-EWR and back on a trip. Coast to coast. So what? Id prefer doing turns in and out of base though, anyway, which we also do. I dont see what your point is, other than you got more bases to offer.

So because you go from lax to bad, wherever that is, that makes you better than any other regional? Last time I checked, mainline skywest is still a regional and they still don't own their own routes. Until Skywest has their own route, charge for their own seats, you guys are still a regional just like the rest of no, o better and no worse, so please move on with life and stop.
